I spent 10 hours in OT yesterday getting 2 yellow bubs with my 34 mage killing or getting killed by blue mobs (or gating) . . . . the resists, fizzles, and spells just not doing anything except taking mana have made this game so much more difficult and therefore time consuming that even the wonderful price of "free" is to expensive. Please make it like is was before - at least! I understand the idea of "classic", and that is why I started playing - I also understand that this game can't be exactly like the old game - but with the last spell patch - dang guys I can't play this game - I don't have the time.

hate to be a dick but this tickles my classic bone.
will never be happier on these games than seeing casters getting nerfed, sorry just my 2cents.
if mage isn't working you could try soloing with a rogue?

Rogues hit for max damage way too often here. Mob AC could use some looking at to be honest :/.

everything is too easy here. ac and max damage, spell resists/fizzle rates which may be more in line.
I just love seeing casters put in this situation, after playing a rog on live for 6 years its always nice to see them get theirs

Well thanks for the input guys - but back to the point: I barely had time to play originally and now I'm over the limit - I play casters because they afford me a logical progress within the time I can play - I didn't choose a "rogue" because it takes too much time. Time is the point . . . . I don't have a lot of it to spare . . . and now I don't have any for this game.

I'm sorry you feel that way but dying Is a huge part of this game and even worse how epic corpse runs can be. don't chalk up the whole server to a bad day, I remember leveling up gaining half a level or 4yellows just to lose it all with 2 stupid deaths.
hate to say it but that is the game, stupid risk for almost no reward

Just ignore this guy. Obviously he doesn't under stand the z-axis problems, the increased resist rate that is going to be fixed next patch, or the mob run speed issue; all of which are NOT classic.

Mob speeds in OT are not changing.
Not gonna work on fizzles.
Channeling is probably going to get tougher.

There are z-axis issues that cause spells not to hit and still take mana, or just straight up being unable to cast on a mob right in front of you if you are on a hill.

I don't think the z axis issue has anything to do with channeling, and there are at least 3 or 4 threads about the z axis cast bug right now. sure they are working on it but an update is always nice )

I watched a wizard stream today, lvl 30 wizard quadding at paw... resists looked damn near perfect.
GL on tweaks and channeling fixes. Much pras.

Raptors need to be slowed down - plenty of research on that.
Channeling is spot on - a level 60 necro can't get off a spell if you aren't stationary for a least 1 sec or if a mob (regardless of level) gets 2-4 consecutive hits OR a bash off on you. If anything channeling needs a tweak.
Fizzles don't seem to be an issue but combined with excessive resists or mana used due to z-axis issues = problems.

I don't mean to sound like a complainer, because I totally understand the situation. This game is geared for the serious gamer who can spend hours most days playing. Unfortunately for me I don't fall into that category. I do love this game as I did in the 90s and will continue to dabble at it - but that's about it and will probably take me years to level a couple chars. - but whatever. I appreciate the fact that someone was gracious enough to put this whole thing together in the first place. Thank you.
