Burning woods roamers near Giant fortress

I went there for the first time yesterday on my lvl 50 necro.

I remembered it was a great place to camp. You could sit on either side of the ramp and practically go afk.

omg this is not the case at all on P99. I camped this place A LOT on live on my druid(50->57 or so). pulled stuff from inside the fortres and out on the hill surrounding the fortress.
then I would root/rot and med while rotting.
You cant do that here without getting adds. They didnt roam under the fortress and up on the hill near fortress. They would always stop at a distance away from fortress...maybe go up halfway and you would only get aggro if you sometimes went a little bit to far down the hill.

I can go grind somewhere else, this just puzzled me a lot yesterday, because it was so different from what I remember and I know you are going for the classic feel (which this wasn't)

hmmm, only thing I could find pertaining to the giant fort

I started hunting here around lvl 44 with my druid. But I found that hunting here with my necromancer is the way to go. At lvl 48 I am able to camp the giant fort with relative ease. Facing the giant fort go to the left of the ramp follow the crest of the hill just around the bend. I usually don’t camp any closer to the ramp then this when soloing, there are some statics that spawn at the bottom of the ramp and there is a pathing issue with a wondering wurm that cuts right though the giant camp that would put an end to any fun u are having.

Known pathing problem that would take tons time to fix, use to bug me to but just learned to accept itas p199 flavor.
