Character Name: Quintle.
Lvl/Class: 57 Druid

The spell Succor shows it should only cost 300 mana to cast. I casted it a few times after leveling to 57, and noticed that it was majorly gouging my mana.
After running a few tests, I've observed I am able to cast the spell as long as the mana requirement is met, but the spell actually takes up to 1017 mana when it's cast. If the amount of mana I have is less than 1017, it completely depletes my mana (all the way to exactly 0%).
This is a recording of my experiences with this issue (I forgot to turn "Show Mouse" back on in the video. Just look at the changes in my mana amount (both in number and in blue bar %)): Here (http://youtu.be/XfU8-R34BFM)

This is why I hate the 1.0 version of Succor/Evacuate (the 1.0 version of Egress sucks too).

Succor costs 300 mana, then on top of that it siphons 700 mana from your entire group. I only use it when I absolutely have to.

Unfortunately the mana cost is classic. For wizards, both Abscond(self) and Evacute(group) drain a large amount of additional mana on top of their casting costs.

Thanks for the information!

What about those people saying it shouldn't clear agro/force zone till March Velious?

Same-zone evac-type spells will now cause you to reload the current zone. This is a necessary step to ensure that you are removed from all hatelists and clean up your pet.

istr that fix (reload the zone) went in because the whatever code they were using to clear agro/pet wasn't working reliably. It's not that those spells didnt clear agro (or try to clear agro), it's that they did so in a buggy way.

No clue on the history or reasons for the force zone change just citing a discrepancy from how it was to what we are seeing here.

It did not even try to remove agro, it was very unwise to use it in old seb or chardok unless you cleared agro first. You would instantly appear at the zone in with a train on its way.
