I could just be imagining things, but I swear every BotB title (the Illusionist, the Wanderer, the Assassin, etc.) puts an extra space after the player's name.
Either that or it just looks wonky for some other reason.

it's because that space is where the surname would go
When some people get surnames removed by the staff, the staff replaces it with an underscore which is not visible on the nameplate but prevents the player from doing a new surname without staff approval.

Case in point: player with surname's nameplate looks fine, player without surname's nameplate looks wonky (Rompar__the_Beguiler).

When some people get surnames removed by the staff, the staff replaces it with an underscore which is not visible on the nameplate but prevents the player from doing a new surname without staff approval.
So it's pretty evident that the underscore, while not technically visible as an underscore, does show up as an extra space on the nameplate.
Kinda takes away from the cool-factor of the BotB title if you ask me. Any way to clean up the nameplate for our surnameless BotB winners?
Petition for a new surname.

There are people who play this game without /showname 1?

I asked him to remove Stompar as my surname. So he probably did replace it with an underscore.
Unfortunately long names are a hindrance in pvp.

Related topic: on live, my friend had an actual space for his surname. It made his first name off-center, and it looked kind of cool.
He explained he did it using a ` (grave accent). I tried doing it on P99, and it did not permit me. Probably something to do with Titanium client?
Edit: instead of a ' mark, it might have been an underscore. Tried that too--no dice. Unfortunately, I can't find screenshots.

Sirken fixed this for me awhile ago (I never had a surname and it had an extra space) but I can't remember the explanation of what caused it.
Just petition, its correctable.
