Does it mean anything to anyone?

Are the 'avoidance' and 'mitigation' meaningful values in game mechanics, or are they just labels to two parts of a purely cosmetic displayed AC value?

Looking at the table there is a big jump for 75 AC which is the figure people always recommend as a minimum agility.

Yeah, it means if you are a Dwarf add 5 Agility to your starting points in the beginning.:eek: Otherwise forget Agility in this game on here. :p Broken stat. :o Not Classic on a "classic" server..

and ogres! ... I think...

Has anyone seen a more complete table? In fact is this table even 'right'? Seems the agi penalty is especially painful at low levels where you don't have much in the way of defence!

Also interesting that casters (assuming capped defence for level) seem to mitigate better than melees on corpse run! I guess they are thicked skinned from normally taking hits with such little armour on!

Allegedly, The AC value displayed on your UI is not the same AC the server calculates/uses .

Like what Ele said, the AC number in your inventory screen is the crutch that you should rely on. Skilling up in Defense, Block, Parry, etc and getting points of Agility influence this number directly, and as such you should make the itemization decisions to make THAT number, AC in your inventory, as high as possible.

I'm sure the block/dodge/parry formulas actually include the hard number for Agility, but I'm very sure that the hard number for AC matters much, much more for every check that occurs on a melee swing.

I found a more recent article from live... I don't think the new article matches up to classic agility, but is interesting as it goes into how alcohol and alcohol tolerance work for screwing up your AC.

Interestingly it seems when this was posted that rogues over 30 get a mitigation bonus if they have high agility.

Hmm, that is interesting. It would be nice if it is true?? :)

So anything above 75 agi is a waste? I might have to rethink my warriors gear...
