i've never changed my filters for faction. it didnt increase for me. i turned in 18 or so and stayed at the same level.

Rathmana Allin is not giving faction hits for his spell scroll quest.

I think Brother Hayle (splitpaw) may be broken.

I did the first note turnin at warmly faction to brother hayle for the soulfire quest. I then attempted to hand in the remaining 4 items for soulfire but he hands them back to me without interaction.

I then went to qeynos and spent hours handing in 2gp at a time to Lashun Novashine until I had handed in 2500gp.

I went back and researched through the Allahkazam posts and players had mentioned that it took 1800 gp for them to get to Apprehensive > Ally.

I've spent well over this amount and haven't even gotten to the high side of warmly from what I can tell.

I've also asked other paladins on the server and they have done the turnin on warmly faction.

Can this be looked into please? It may be as simple as respawning a new Brother Hayle...

I can confirm that right now nothing you can do will increase Temple of Life faction. I tried prayer beads, donating 2 gold, bonechips... I got the experience message and quest rewards, just not the faction increases. I could imagine people having problems completing Aegis of Life quest, as well.

This was not the answer, I had someone kill him off and the newly spawned version wouldn't take the items or reply to text either.

My best guess is what Argentate stated.

You still get exp and an item for the gnoll teeth when you turn in the teeth, but you get no faction

Per the discussion comments here http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=800 there should be a positive faction hit with Eldritch Collective when you turn in the 2 mino horns. There is no message indicating so, only xp and gold.

Edit: Did the quest the other day and got faction hits. Either you fixed it (thanks!) or I'm an idiot (boo!)

Okay now that the expected topic of the thread has been covered, on to the real issue. When the quest is turned in, sources say that there should be a number of faction hits.


Turn in both these items:

Camlend Serbold says 'We thank you for your service. With Lord Grimrot's evil soul trapped in this scythe, all but the truly evil shadowknights would be able to wield it. I would like to present you with this as a token of our appreciation. Your devotion to life is supreme. Go now, and serve life.'

Your faction standing with Priests of Life got better.
Your faction standing with Knights of Thunder got better.
Your faction standing with Guards of Qeynos got better.
Your faction standing with Bloodsabers got worse.
Your faction standing with Antonius Bayle got better.
You gain experience!!
You receive 9 platinum from Camlend Serbold.

Minor issue, not like anyone is farming Aegis' for faction, but still a bug none-the-less. Someone else who was camping Grimrot at the same time as me and finished the quest first, reported the same issue.

I attempted to give Lashun gold pieces as well as bone chips, he accepted both and gave me the heal, but no faction hits.

Also something of note is the putrid skeletons in South Karana do indeed give the faction message for PriestofLife increasing, but the entire time I camped Lord Grimrot (20ish hours, five faction hits every 7 minutes) my faction didn't budge from Amiable. Granted these are low level greens, so their faction hit probably isn't intended to be all that large.

Appears this problem isn't for just a few quests. There's the orc pick quest in West Commons, handed in 4 and no faction.

I can confirm Rathmana Allin in Sro is not giving any faction hits when you turn in 3p for a spell scroll. (You do get xp and the scroll though.)

No faction hits for turning in the Barkeep's Compendium to Clurg today, either. Got the Stein, just no faction messages.

Ya I did not get any faction turning in Gnoll Scalps to Captain Orben in HighPass today, gave me gold/plat though and exp.
I don't think I have gotten faction for any of the quests I have done so far.
I do see faction messages when I kill stuff though.

Giving orc scalps to Ashlan also is bugged, no faction hits when there should be. Get money and exp, but no faction message.

From what I have seen from various quests so far: It's every quest in the game refuses to give faction hits.

Has anyone gotten ANY quests to give factions?

Lashun Novashine is giving faction hit message for the gold turnin now, although I do not know if the faction is actually being raised on your character. I turned plenty of gold in to get to a higher side of warmly and Brother Hayle is still not responding to the quest lines, nor accepting my item turnins.

I know the ogre meat quest for warriors gives an item to you, but no faction hits.

So quests are working, just faction hits are wacky for item turnins.

You would think worldwide faction would be a pretty big deal.

I suppose I'll go hand in another 1000gp to Lashun Novashine and see if my Priests of Life faction actually goes up.

As of the faction update on the 30th, my agnostic DE Mage went from dubious to threatening with Freeport guards. Haven't done anything to lower the faction, being level 24, and have only killed a handful of orcs.
