I did some research on this as well, and people on Allakahzam and Monkly Business were reporting how simply hitting Derakor / Tormax / Statue in one night could take someone from scowl to amiable+.

I was told by a developer that they are using faction values from Live EQ - so log in and go kill a mob in Kael on live and whatever that number is is what they give on P99.
