Hollow Skull quest bug

Hi I was doing the Hollow skull quest which begins in West Karana "Yiz Pon" got both gems, (Large Ruby and Ruby Pendant) and the skull container required for it, hit combine and I get the message "You cannot combine these items in this container type!" when i should of received a Jeweled Skull.
