Torpor aggro in Fear Plane

It seems there are some aggro issues in plane of fear. Where I have noticed it most is trains coming straight for me (shaman) when I am self-torporing only. I never healed or buffed the bard, was not in the same group, and the train never came close to me.

Assuming it is an aggro radius issue maybe?

Are you buffing people after you zone in? Someone that asked for a buff may have tagged a mob, sat near the train, tagged the bard or someone else that tagged the bard and transferred that aggro to you.

Where is the train being kited in relation to you?

Did anyone charm a mob and have it attack a scareling?

Never buffed the person training, train was never near me, no one tagged anything off the train at all: it was all trained before we entered the zone. There were no charm pets.

We can't really isolate the issue, been two fear raids now (1 full clear, one kite for golems). The other shamans and I have stopped using torpor, even on self, during fear because we think that is the issue.

havnt seen this on our raids. Can be pretty easy in there to mess up agro if there is someone that doesnt know what they are doing. Sorry just skeptical there is a real issue.

Try getting a vid of the entire thing from zonein and someone may be able to isolate the bug or what you are doing wrong.

The information in your original post is incomplete and vague.

You don't have to buff the bard/trainer/puller to get aggro on the train. Chaining aggro is like an STD.

Did you buff or heal anyone in zone before casting Torpor yourself?

Where was the train exactly? Was it on the other side of the zone? Being circled around portal hill? What is "close to you"? Where were you when you got aggro?

To test this out some more, next time you are in Fear camp out to clear aggro while the train is going, then cast torpor on yourself before you doing anything else. Also, ask where the train is in relation to yourself at the time of casting.

I think you misunderstand: There is a NEW PROBLEM with torpor in Fear that has not existed before. This is not a case of misunderstanding aggro mechanics.

(1) Bard is all alone in his own group, receives no buffs or heals at all from anyone in raid force.

(2) There are no pulls at all off the train.

(3) The Bard is on the other side of portal at all times, Shaman is at West Wall. He has never even seen a mob

(4) After a few torpors, the train runs DIRECTLY for the shaman, kills him solo, then runs back to the bard: doesn't touch anyone else in camp (including people sitting).

Anything being rooted? Rooted mobs will add ya to their list if you get within range... perhaps? If you are torporing you gotta be casting on someone, perhaps they had aggro on some unknown factor

sounds like you within agro radius of train and it counts torpor as you healing, so you build agro

maybe kite train further away

I believe this is unintentional cross aggro at work at not a bug. Short of evidence being boosted(would really need a video of the entire break) safe to say mistakes were made

So you reject the notion of low-hitpoint aggro (canni-induced, pre-torpor) chained entirely as a cause?

Not arguing here, but that's the first thing that comes to my mind.

Have you gone back to test this brecon?

Camp out when no mobs are in camp then log back in (full aggro clear on yourself) then immediately cast torpor on yourself without doing anything else.

If Torpor is bugged as you claim, then the train should come immediately for you.



Also, is the trainer doing anything besides having simple proximity aggro to create the train (e.g. self runes, heals, buffs)?

torpor doesn't have any secret bugged aggro mechanics

people are pulling mobs too close to the train, the train socials on that mob, the shaman buffs that person, the shaman then cannibalizes and torpors themself, getting heal aggro on the train
