<Awakened> is the premiere raiding guild on the Project 1999 server with emphasis on quality over quantity. We have a strong force of mature and disciplined players who want to take down the strongest targets out there (without having to quit our day jobs). As a guild we strive to create a close knit family environment with a focus on having fun, making friends, and competitive endgame raiding.

We are seeking like-minded ambitious individuals who are drama-free, motivated, and mostly looking to have a good-time whilst experiencing the most challenging content (and best loot!) classic Everquest has to offer. We're looking for players that fit well into our family and put forth the effort to prepare their character for endgame raiding. We want skilled players, not just warm bodies.

Benefits of joining <Awakened>:
• Casual members are more than welcome. Maintaining a certain raid attendance (after your application period) is not required to stay in the guild. Raid as much (or little) as you are able to!
• We use a DKP bid system - No loot council drama.
• We pay for recharges of raid consumables for all of our members. Wort Pots, Puppet Strings, Bladestoppers, Mallets, WC Caps, Etc!

Requirements for applying to <Awakened>:
• Level 50+
• Willing and able to acquire raid-ready consumables and resist gear during application process.
• Have Teamspeak installed ( headsets preferred )
** Recruitment period can start at level 50+. Membership can be obtained at level 55+

Awakened has had a fun and interesting middle of the week/beginning of the weekend!

It all started with a late night, low-number, solid AoW attempt that we served up at 35% to the others in zone (I really do think karma is catching up to some of our famous Caw-caws in the past!), then (and you may have to correct me if I'm wrong) today's Zlandicar would have been either our 50th or 51st legitimate kill of that dastardly dragon (we'll get him next time, remember 50 is a golden anniversary so bring gifts accordingly), and last but not least before the beginning of the raid cycle we ended up with another successful ring war topped off with a super-clean Dain.

Great work everyone, I can't wait to see what this weekend brings for us. No matter what happens to any of us, we all win when we fight with integrity and respect. Be excellent to each other!

Look at it positively, Mav: even their forum trolls don't believe the 'we drove Rampage off the server and are going to bathe in pixels that fall from the sky' propaganda any more, so they're back in 'troll the opposition as hard as possible' mode.

The sad thing is 80 people for the Avatar of War is probably low numbers compared to the zergs he's used to facing where he couldn't even turn around without squashing a few scrubs.

Hard to determine the weights of mobs. I'd put yelinak over dain, vyemm higher than statue and misisng some stuff we killed. This brings back memories of doing this for ISDS in business schoolt hough.

Well my logic was that the Belt of Dwarf Slaying (100/100 AOB) is better than the Gauntlets of Dragon Slaying (75/75 41% haste) and the rest of Yelinak's loot table is pretty miserable. Dain at least has a pretty sweet customizable crown. Of course if the warders were up it would be different. Vyemm has some OK gear, but I wouldn't underestimate the Statue who has two hard BIS items (BP/Cloak). Anyway, it's all subjective <shrug> I just had fun typing out 'Effective Vulak Kills' :D

Great teamwork happening in <Awakened>! An amazing week led us strong into a phenomenal weekend showing.

After sweeping up Tuesday with a Statue kill, an Avatar of War kill, and two successful 10th Ring Wars, after vanquishing Zlandicar on Wednesday, after ridding the Plane of Growth of their precious queen, Tunare, on Thursday, and after slaying that pesky king, Dain Frostreaver IV, on Friday, <Awakened> was prepped for a good weekend.

With windows now spanned from Saturday night through Monday night.. <Awakened> came out with a fair share of targets:

Well my logic was that the Belt of Dwarf Slaying (100/100 AOB) is better than the Gauntlets of Dragon Slaying (75/75 41% haste) and the rest of Yelinak's loot table is pretty miserable. Dain at least has a pretty sweet customizable crown. Of course if the warders were up it would be different. Vyemm has some OK gear, but I wouldn't underestimate the Statue who has two hard BIS items (BP/Cloak). Anyway, it's all subjective <shrug> I just had fun typing out 'Effective Vulak Kills' :D

Dain belt over Yeli gaunts is a toss up. The question really is "how much of an upgrade is the item over the next bis or more common slot filler for each class. Need to see a graph for that please Raev!

Once when I was buying rots from TMO they got three pairs of Grey Suede Boots from one Hoshkar.

That's what's kinda fun about this server (god did I just say that?) We've all figured out these insane strategies over the years and have everything broken down to a granular level. I don't know if there's really anything extremely disruptive left to "discover" besides maybe getting PoG down to an hour or two.

Another "week" in the books. Great work all around. Started it off Thursday with a hefty haul from Tunare, bagged another set of Dozekar tears, came away with a very smooth Cazic Thule kill, and topped that off with a Vulak special! Pretty decent list of kills this week. An unfortunate agro rip last week prevented us from attempting Tormax this week, and an early engage call on Yelinak cost us a kill there as well. Big congrats to F/A on Statue/Avatar. A well timed Eashen spawn gave us a nice cap off to the week as well.
