Got wolf form, conned Captain Ashlan: apprehensive.

Turned in one scalp and received nothing. Turned in 4 scalps and received nothing.

Captain Ashlan would take scalps as low as dubious on line.

plus the faction, since HH guards are dubious to me. I used Illusion:Human and got to apprehensive before turning in the scalps.

As long as he doesn't scowl at you ready to attack you should be fine. Being a Paladin I have a nightmare working with guard faction in FP and Qeynos and I can still do this quest at threteningly and dubious.

Remember when raising factions in most places: Wolf form is your friend. WF has gotten my scaly hide into many places, so I could do quest turn ins for faction.

Get someone to wolf form you. It will bump you up plenty to do the orc scalps. The faction needed for the goblin ears is slightly higher, but if you turn in a lot of scalps first, you should have plenty.

Then I got a wolfform, which took me to apprehensive. I then turned in about 10 stacks of scalps, and a bunch of goblin ears, and by the time I was done, I was ally.

And to do the turn in you have to be at least medium dubiously to captain ashlan, low dubioulsly will not work.

I was in wolf form and apprehensive so I should have gotten faction~

Also note that Captain Ashlan should accept any number of scalps 1-4 and reward appropriately. Karsten told me he was able to get this to work before but Ashlan would only accept 1 at a time.

I fixed this a couple weeks ago on the test server. As soon as the patch goes in, he should reward you appropriately for 1-4 scalps, at dubious or better faction.
