Ezmirella and the Incandescent Rod Quest

Ezmirella ate my silvered wand yesterday, even after I had cast Benevolence on her. It did not seem to change her faction at all, she remained Indifferent through my different combination of illusions / faction raising buffs. Any else experience this?

Did the quest 3-4 days ago and it worked fine. If you don't have enough faction without Alliance/Benevolence then that could be the bug.

I say this because the final turn-in was also bugged as not working with indifferent faction boosted to amiable.. http://www.project1999.org/forums/showthread.php?t=14497&highlight=incandescent It worked for me at that time, too, with unmodified amiable faction.

It would seem Benevolence is breaking some quest NPCs that require a minimum faction, but it's really hard to say with such little information.

Edit: Oh.. Did you give her exactly 50 gold and the wand or 5pp?

At first I handed her the wand and 5pp, it didn't work, so I tried handing her 50gp, but I think at that point it was too late. I was hoping she would have still had the item. I just thought it was weird that Benevolence didn't adjust my /con to her. It just stayed indifferent.

Well.. Pretty much every quest in EQ requires you to give the NPC all of the required items at once. In classic you also have to give the NPC the correct denomination of coins. The JBoots quest, for example, makes you run around with 3,250 gold because it's encumbering and makes it challenging to catch Hasten.

I'll try it again tonight with 50gp and see what happens
