I have been camping Vin Moltor for most of the day, and have killed him more times then I can count, and have yet to see a paw. I dunno if this is just bad luck, or intentional but everyone I have talked to has said they got the paw within the first few kills. Like I said it may be bad luck on my part, but it appears he is not dropping the paw as intended.

He doesn't drop a paw. He drops a ring used for the quest for the paw.

What? No. He drops the "unfinished" paw in which you combine the 4 rings to receive the Paw of Opolla.

I killed him a number of times earlier today as well and he did not drop the unfinished paw. Guess I'll got he khalish and rat meat pie route.

I eventually got it, but it took me about 15 kills on vin. That is definitely much more rare then I remember it being on live, but I have no way of proving that.

It drops at like 35% from Vin. If you can find better figures somewhere, link your research.

Just went back and he was up. Killed him and he dropped the paw.

Took me 8 kills over 2 days to get him to drop the paw.

Bad luck. When I did this quest the unfinished paw dropped first kill.

I had a similar experience to Mardur - killed Vin 3 times and he's dropped it every time.

This quest does not takes days to complete. I have created 3 paws and have been able to get Vin Moltar to spawn about 4-5 times an hour each time I did it.

The number nilbog says is completely accurate. 35% drop rate is just about what I calculated.
