Tooth of Cobalt Scar

I was running through the Karanas and stopped to kill a bandit, cuz, ya know the Karanas get kind of boring. I bent down to loot said bandit, and came back up and noticed my Cobalt Scar tooth wasn't on my toon where it had been. I looked through my bags and couldn't find the tooth anywhere.

Could the bandit have stolen it somehow? Pickpocketed? I'm seriously confused about where the tooth went...any clues? Is this a bug?

This may seem like a dumb question, but mistakes happen...did you delete anything from inventory recently that looks like a CS tooth? Or did you delete anything at all? It's possible you trashed it by accident.
