Captian Ashlan eating orc scalps

I tried to do the Orc Scalp quest in Highpass and Captain Ashlan just takes the scalps. I am indifferent to the guards.

Did a search and nothing came up.

hmm that scratches my idea then, thought it might have been the same problem i had with the Knight card and the dwarf in ocean of tears, 4 at once gave nothing, 1 at a time worked fine

This problem is at it again. He just eats the scalps, turned in four at a time or one at a time, and gives no reward. The strange thing is I did the turn in just a few minutes earlier, and accidentally auto attacked the NPC, so I got aggro. Zoned the aggro, went back in to try and keep doing the quest. Could engaging in combat be what fucks this quest?

Captain Ashlan was killed by Orc NPCs. When he respawned I tried turning in one scalp, still no reward.

Confirmed - I am amiable and I tried handing in one scalp and got no response and no exp.

I have been handing them in 1 at a time and it seems to work for me because my Freeport faction finally moved from Ready to Attack to Threateningly, but I have been handing in ears on top of scalps.

For sure I know that one at a time I am getting the exp message and money for each one.

My plan is to get to Dubious since they guards attack me still -depending on how many faction hits each scalp gives.

I am looking at around 300 or so scalps if the faction charts are correct and each scalp is +1.

I have heard a scalp is either +1 or +2, whereas an ear is +5 or +10, but I have never seen any real proof, so i assume everything is +1.

I will let you know when my faction changes - I have 6 stacks on me and will be buying more tonight and turning them all in. At least that is my plan.

Well - I turned in about 15 stacks today, 4 at a time. I got exp message and cash four times in a row every time.

I am now dubious - It is working fine.
