It's not a unique spawn, but the spawn rate was too high in that area.

Over 80 confirmed killed and not a single tstaff. not to mention whatever the random guy / salty has killed.


think his drop rate needs to be increased. this is 80 of them with 6 min spawns, with multiple spawns. also have had gm confirmation on most of the kills. (probably all of them)

Also, not counting how many warlords Salty probably killed, but my group yesterday and the day before killed 81 skeletal warlords and not one Tranquil Staff. Not one has dropped yet on the beta server that I have heard of. I know it's a rare item but that rare? This is with a 6 minute respawn timer and not the 26 minute respawn.

He spawned in three areas IIRC.

One area is the jail, one area is one of the two mobs at the end of the second bridge where the undead mobs start and the third area is area 9.

I am not surprised 81 kills has not yielded a TS. It always was and should be an extremely rare item.

Ditto, Karnors was packed 24/7 during live on my server..by the time velious hit there were still only a few of these around

I remember camping these with my guild (very small non powerful raid guild, basically Chardok Royals minus Queen were the limits of our capability) We had 3-4 monks with these on Veeshan server. Not to mention the 50 other monks on the server rocking these. I can remember seeing 3 of these drop in 1 long session in Karnor's. Maybe it was just a lucky day, but I spent 100s of hours in KC, and I know people didn't always /shout when they got one, but I saw many many /shout messages regarding Tstaffs.

Definitely not this rare.

sounds like he got lucky then... i remember reading somewhere it was approx a 0.5% drop rate back in the day. no evidence so dont take that as written. they certainly were no more than 1% at the very least
