Yea, I don't know about all of that. I believe it's more of a not able to enforce it / not wanting to suspend/ban every other player doing it. One could argue it's definitely against the RoC. It's just gotten so out of control and every other player is doing it that they just don't have the resources to enforce it. Just like here, DBG can use the RoC at their discretion. Unless you can find me a direct quote from DBG that specifically states it's totally legal to harass other players / potentially cause them to wipe by dispelling charmed mobs, I don't think you hold all of the facts either. Prove me wrong though I would love to read that.

the maps are pretty cool though when the monks are raid pulling and can see each other on the map so if someone needs assistance its right there.

For grouping I'd say p99 is still superior. Raiding on Agnarr is far more enjoyable; especially with buffed raid target changes. Having instances AND open world, along with picks. Thought I'd have trouble dealing with non-classic things, but that took about a week to get used to.

I do miss negating GCD with insta clicks tho.

I didn't think I would like Agnarr, but so far (2 days in) I can say that I am hooked.

I know it's a ways off, but I like the fact the when it comes time to complete my epic (and other nice quests) I won't have to farm plat to pay some assholes rent like I would here. Yes RMT exists on Agnarr, but it doesn't change my playstyle or stop me from completing what I want to complete.

That and PoP raiding is what set EQ far beyond any other MMO.

All of the none "classic" things on Agnarr actually make the game more enjoyable.

The cruelest truth of p99 is the caring, hard working, passion GMs and Devs technically is the reason why it all turned into a cesspit. Not allowing players to police themselves and keep a low CSR profile turned everyone into professional victims. And destroyed the raid scene.

I did the kaladim bone chip quest with nearly 100 bone chips at level 4 and only got a couple blues. Add that to the nerfed bard class and I said, "[insert leaving message here]."

It's exactly the same thing. You can buy xp pots to increase your xp rate on a daybreak server or you can buy a kickstarter package for pantheon and increase your xp rate on p99.

Zoned into Sebilis on night 1 and there were 21 different instances with between 25-50 players in each. So about 600-700 characters running around experiencing some classic Sebilis grouping. LFG people were getting picked up all over the place including wizards and Druids. Incredible experience!

Yea there is a handful of things that have yet to be fixed like that. They are slowly fixing this crap though. VP Groundspawns have had their spawn rate upped substantially since last TLP for example. Same with Froglok foragers and hunters.

The HS key is by far the shittiest key to get on TLP -- because there has been no non-classic fixes made to the chancellor yet. Therefore, he's spawn is a p99-retarded 2 hrs and 30 mins rather than 15 mins that it will be on the next TLP.

TLP servers would be great if DBG pulled their heads out of their asses and removed the stupid modern features. Sure, bring them in later, but it is just ridiculous as is. I suppose I can understand for you raider types wanting the convenience. For casual scum like me, it is a non-starter.

*My primary, deal-breaking issue is lack of corpse runs. Are they fun? Fuck no! But, the threat of a corpse recovery is the ultimate risk/reward mechanic and is what makes EQ fucking rad!

Each line of AAs on Live generally costs 25-100~ AAs though. So that sort of works itself out.

Main does all the baking combines in Shawl 3, MQ them. Main does pottery gate pot combine and turns into FD trap coldain and MQs that note for Shawl 4.

Do Tailoring, Fletching, JC to around 160ish, and Pottery to around 50ish on Alt.

Do Shawl 5, Shawl 6 on alt. Do the unfired blank tune combine on main with pottery skill and trade it to alt before firing. Do rest of Shawl 7 on alt.

Farm the shimmering Geonids on main and do all the blacksmithing, Tailoring and JC combines on main then MQ the Shawl 8 Crawl from main to alt so alt can avoid needing to do blacksmithing.

I just recently MQ'd a Shawl 8 Crawl to my Cleric box. Did it with 9 toons in Velious. I think I'd like to try 3-boxing that event before Luclin releases though. It's a fun event to do with low numbers.

Getting a late start on the server, but I'm really interested in doing PoP from the start again so hoping to get caught up by then now that I have some time for gaming opening up. I'm thinking with SoL just being released next week I should have plenty of time to do it. Any recommendations on a leveling guild or am I better off just trying to solo/PUG my way up at this point?

There were a few people in the newbie zones and a guy hooked me up with a partial set of banded and a velium sword for my lvl 9 warrior. I know war isn't the best starting class, but honestly kind of burned out on leveling necros, druids, and enchanters as that's what I normally do first. I assume the highest demand characters are wizards and clerics like usual, but neither of those sound too exciting right now. Wizards shouldn't be so bad on this server once AA's drop I'm assuming, though.

I have a couple krono that I bought with plat on a different server at some point that apparently transfer across servers (?), but I prefer to use them for game time instead of selling them to gear out toons. Not looking for gear handouts or anything, just curious about the current vibe of the server. What's your take for somebody coming in now that wants to raid?

I believe Luclin is out or will be soon on Agnarr...PoP is still like 3 mo away. Plenty of time to start on Agnarr whenever because its locked at LDoN...

Which means you can always start any character their and level it up to the end game and play it in a raiding guild.

True its easier when everyone else is leveling -- but a lot of people will be leveling up their beastlords (or other luclin alts) or starting the server in Luclin. So now is a great time.

Play Wizard for endgame (best raid DPS constant recruitment) or Enchanter for their capabilities and fast leveling -- they are less popular and more in demand now. Stay away from Necro -- you missed the boat on that class for Agnarr.

Druids are good when raid geared...it kind of sucks to be a Druid on Agnarr IMO because solo leveling sucks and that's the one thing they excell at. But they are good healers and capable solo. Shaman is probably a better option -- slow is a big deal.
