Cannibalize Message Appears Twice

Note: I am using the Velious UI in case this has anything to do with this.

When casting Cannibalize I get two messages, "Your body aches as your mind clears. You have taken 50 points of damage" as well as "Your body aches as your mind clears".

Observing others using cannibalize, I see "Soandso winces. Soandso winces." every time they cast the spell.

Casting canni spams the chat log enough as is, let alone having it duplicate :P

Should be one single message "Your body aches as your mind clears." and to observers "Soandso winces."

Where are you seeing this? Beta server?

No, regular p99 server, sir.

Edit: Hoping someone else can chime in whether or not they've experienced this issue. It happens to me whether I'm playing on my desktop at home or my notebook. I'm using the velious UI with classic spell gems, the latest (NOT beta) spells file, and the 'trimmed' EQ install.

I'd like to add that today I noticed a similar symptom when I was Lifetapped by a mob in Kithicor. Received a message of 'You blahblahblahblah. You have taken 45 points of damage." and "You blahblahblahblah."

Perchance this is an issue with taking spell damage in general?

I don't recall ever seeing how much damage I took from spells on Live. If I was casting canni I'd only see "Your body aches as your mind clears." and that was it.

Yep confirmed, got the same and got already used to the canni spam.

Canni double message resolved as of latest hotfix patch.

Not sure about lifetap yet.
