I have been killing these a while on my enchanter which are GREAT exp 47-50, however I was always curious why they are on a 21 minute timer when the other DL mobs (at least a tundra yeti and the skels in hidden valley) seem to be on a 6ish minute timer.
Did some reading on wayback machine here:

Here is a comment from a user on 2/9/2001 commenting on the 6 min spawn timer, his description of location is undeniably a glacier yeti and not the lesser version (a tundra yeti):
These guys live in a cave just a bit east of the giant fort. It looks like a small hut, but inside there is an ice tunnel working its way in. Seem to be 2 wandering spawns in the tunnel and 5 static spawns in the cave at the end. Also there don't seem to be any other wandering mobs (giants or spiders) that end up in the tunnel. About a 6 minute spawn time.
Should be noted he says there are 5 statics at the back room of the cave and only 2 roamers which don't seem to make it to back of cave. On P99 there are 4 static at the back, and 3 roamers (with 1 roamer coming into the static area). No idea of how the exact positioning of the mobs in the cave should be, I know yetis have a traditionally low agro radius, but in this post makes it seem like casting Malisement around level 49 should be able to solo pull these (this post from 11/13/2001):
If you are any of the classes that can easily hunt giants for coin, then these yeti are for you. At 47 - 50, I solo'd these glacier yeti getting one yellow every 50 minutes or so and only two deaths. My guide will cover how a mage does this, druids/necros/shaman/others, adjust your tactics accordingly.
1) If the 2 wanderers are in the hallway and are bouncing and spinning around like they are stuck, leave them alone. You want them stuck for this to be easier.
2) If they are wandering the halls, then you need to conjure the pet near entrance to caves and then have pet follow to first roamer. If not, go to just outside the main chamber and conjure pet there. DS and Burnout your pet.
3) Pull with Malisement, let pet drop health of yeti for roughly 10 seconds. Throw SoS (before 49) and Lava Bolt (after 49), wait a tic, cast again. Loot yeti corpse.
4) After you break all 4 statics, just move in to their cave and pick them off as they pop. By the time I medded to full from 50m, there was always a yeti to be killed.
Should be noted this last post says 4 statics at the back instead of 5, so some conflicting info there, so will leave it to you guys to decide.
Let me know if more evidence is needed!
With these on a 6 min timer can be an amazing duo / group spot for the level ranges on these mobs (not to mention decent coin / gem).
EDIT:
Just noticed the screen grab on the wiki page (http://wiki.project1999.com/A_Glacier_Yeti) appears to be from live, you can just baaaaaarely see a 3rd name showing to the far right. Leads me to think that the roamer you have coming into the cave should be a static at the far back middle of the cave. Hope this helps.
