Many people have had problems using Old Man Thorren to teleport to Kunark zones. These people will find that the zones in question aren't accessible by any other means either, and that the problem isn't with the Thorren, but with their files.

First, if you're having this problem, check if you have the files for the zone in question. If you're trying to get to Trakanon's teeth, for example, make sure you have "Trakanon_chr.s3d", "Trakanon.s3d", "Trakanon_obj.s3d".

If you DO have the files in your Everquest folder, yet you still can't access these zones, post here. As far as I know though, everyone who's had this issue has been missing the files.

The most common cause for missing zone files is that you did the textures update incorrectly. In the thread for the textures update (here: http://www.project1999.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2482), it says:

1.) Back-up all current .s3d files in your Everquest folder (sort file types by using details view in windows)
2.) Download this: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=YDIFVCGZ
3.) extract RAR to EQ folder C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest (rewrite all)

Where people mess up is with the first step. To be as clear as possible, it should say:

1.) Copy all current .s3d files in your Everquest folder (sort file types by using details view in windows) and place them into a separate backup folder.

This way, your Everquest folder should still have the files in them, but they will also be backed up in another folder (the difference here is that in Step 3, you would instead be asked to overwrite the zone files that are still in your Everquest folder when you copy the updated files).

The reason some people can't access Kunark zones, is because instead of copying the files to a backup folder, they moved those files, meaning that the only zones they have are those with updated textures. These zones don't include Paineel or any Kunark or Velious zones.

To fix this problem, go into the backup folder you created, and manually move back all files with names of Kunark zones in them (it shouldn't be enough to just move "Kunark_zone_01.s3d", you should move all files containing that zones name, like "Kunark_zone_01_obj.s3d", for example).
