We are looking into an issue right now where some mobs have a mana regen rate set too high, which could cause them to regain enough mana in a single tick to immediately cast gate.

I think this issue also affecting CH, Lepthida was being fought by Riot, being bashed/pushed mana sieved and still CH everytime, after 30 mins fight they just blurred her out.

Can confirm that, it seemed like Theft of Thought wasn't landing, because she seems to have no mana at all.
Mana Sieve did land, but is unresistable. Not sure what to make out of it, but we discovered that Lepethida also ripostes. So is a warrior without mana which CHs?

During the Lepethida encounter I was rolling Cassindra's Inspid Ditty (https://wiki.project1999.com/Cassindra%27s_Insipid_Ditty) and Denon's Dissension (https://wiki.project1999.com/Denon%27s_Dissension) with appropriate instruments for the entire fight. If instrument modifiers affect these songs it should result in ~120 mana per tick being drained. Lepethida was able to CH repeatedly regardless.

When casting Theft of Thought on Lepethida, the response was something like "Your target has no mana to affect". Somewhat difficult to mana drain a CHing and riposting NPC that has no mana.

She was also able to continue casting The Unspoken Word and Upheaval repeatedly despite in the region of +-50k mana being drained from her during the fight, sometimes in coordinated bursts of 15+ sieves right before 40%. She’d CH then back to nuking.

Trying to remember some old post history I came across, but could have sworn NPC complete heals were only like 10k and didn't truly heal boss mobs all the way. Not sure if this was changed when velious dropped with 100k+ mobs.

PC CH is 10k. NPC is Full.

I know I can across some posts about npc cheals, at least for a time, not doing full cheal. But thinking back it may have been limited to vox. Out of town now, too lazy to heavy research it

The change from Complete Heal being "complete" to 7500 happened in the October 16, 2002 patch it looks like.

Posting here for visibility on this issue as it relates specifically to Lepethida, which is a mob that cannot be sieved because it has no mana, regardless of the mana regeneration rate.

I took a look at Lepethida today and identified several other issues. It will require some work to correct, as it starts with the way some of his properties are defined and then how it gets loaded.

It's funny how most of these issues have always existed and are only now being brought to light because it's become significantly difficult to interrupt them XD

Almost as if it's not classic. A ~2% bash/stun rate also seems problematic.

These issues were brought up in the bug report which kick started this whole thing.

Breaking changes that reveal hidden bugs are a good thing. This will be fixed and life will go on.

Great Rogean apreciate you found root problem I guess being warrior mobbs unable to have a drainable mana pool still casting CH . What is interresting is how many other hidden undrainable/unstunnable raid targets are there.

Almost as if it's not classic.

Most of these NPCs had to be built from the ground up, so of course there can be bugs. Fixing one reveals the other. The passive aggressive comments aren’t appreciated

Why didn't you just run Velious.exe from your install discs to get all the original dragons?!

this is not rnf. Wrong section.

Point being there is no magic wand we can wave to get classic NPCs. The scrutiny we must apply to get even close to classic is incredible; literally every aspect of the NPC must be created from nothing.

Data data data; without clay I can't build bricks.

People are asking "why is so much detail 'wrong'?", what I'm trying to get them to see is "how can we make this right?".

I just want to thank the staff here on working hard at fixing this issue. It's a lot of work and I know there are a lot of people who are anxious for a fix who might come off as aggressive.

Thanks!
