Low level mobs gating

Gating is suddenly much more prevalent. The included screenshot is of a cinder goblin shaman in Solusek A gating. I'm looking for in-era evidence about gating, but I'm hoping that this behavior is so obviously abnormal that it isn't needed.

There is actually a Kunark classic bug that pets above a certain level gated, this was fixed in early Kunark.

Don't think cinder goblins should be gating though? :D

Edit: this patch, July 2000:

Pets, both PC and NPC, will no longer cast "Gate".

yeap the gate AI suddenly hitting low level mobs, that surprised me in Kaesora, before patchs they would never gate, now suddenly 90% of casters gating and im talking about, i have PLED, killed level in both zones never seen a low level mob gate until now, searching through all LOGs in the last 2 years.

Gustoo was trolling about the xp. They referred to low mobs preferring to use gate all the time, as they nerver had.

When it says "fixed, pending update" like that, it means that in the next patch it will be fixed. We don't get patches often around here.
