An Unknown Error Occurred While Trying To Join The Server?

Hi All,

I'm getting this error when trying log into the server (Green) "An Unknown Error Occurred While Trying To Join The Server?". I was playing earlier this morning and logged off. Trying to get back on it now and it's prompting me with this. I tried also Blue and Red even though I don't play on those servers and I'm getting the same issue.

I see the server status is online and it shows people are actually playing right now.

Does anyone know what this error means?

I tried pretty much everything I could find through searches but they were all old posts. I was unable to connect to any server(even the other non P99 servers) on any account. Not sure if it corrected on its own but I changed EQhost file then changed it back and it worked...

Not to necro an almost 2 month old thread, but thank you for this fix!! Worked wonders this evening after I crashed on zoning, and I feel like hackerman using command prompt.

My husband can't log into game (i'm in game right now) and it kept saying Unknown error occurred while trying to connect to server also.

He tried restarting several times and did the command prompt thing too to no avail.

Anyone know how else to fix?

Same error here. Flushdns did work but only once. Immediately tested switching accounts and couldn't log in again.

Had this issue too, had to reboot. My RL friend had the same issue.

With this many having it, sounds like a server issue and not a client one

don't work ipconfig /flushdns for me, can't join the servers
