Drakkel Wolf Whisker not dropping

I have killed over 500 of the "a drakkel dire wolf" in great divide in the past week and have had 0 whiskers drop. Are the drops bugged or not showing up for a lvl 60 since no exp given like in warrens era?

I'm in a similar boat 55 kills today alone and no whiskers.

Doesnt drop until May 2001 in the timeline
