Mob lands a spell on me several seconds after i am gated out of range

Today a mob aggrod me in FV and i casted a gate. After the gate. The mob lands a dot on me several seconds later while i am gated from out of casting range.

so wait, let me get this straight.. you can gate and a mob can cast a dot on you after you are gated sitting by guards halfway across the zone and you are calling this "mobs not respecting casting range" instead of a bug ? lol ok..:rolleyes: Well im glad you "clearly understand". Alot of my characters were casters and have had gate, and ive never had that happen :confused:

It seems abusive posts are allowed on these forums but others are not. Why is that ?

But of course it should come easier to me to say that "the mob didnt respect casting range" or should it be easier for me ? Seeing (if you are saying there is/was) a known casting range and the mob was able to cast outside of this range it can be seen as a bug. Classic or non classic to the game. :rolleyes:

Someone makes a report that doesnt end up being a bug or is a bug but is classic or working as intended and gets called a retard.

Have you performed a service because it is a better thing to do than to make a report ?

Gating within the zone doesn't clear agro, and when the mob started casting, the calculations to land on you were already determined.

Indeed, this is not a bug. This is the classic functionality, so it won't be changed here.

I think it was intentional by the original EQ devs, because think of how it could be exploited if you could block NPC spells by...stepping back a little bit.

Wow, ok, i will take everyone elses word on this one that this is a classic mechanic.

I do not remember this, i remember summoning mobs, but not this. Then again the last 3-4 servers i played on were TLP's and either did not have this same mechanic or this never happened to me.

At least i remembered about dragon teeth and portals the other day :)
