I don't have data for p99 blue, but on p99 green we have seen post-revamp dracoliche dropping items from his entire pre-revamp loot table in addition to his post-revamp loot table.

Congratulation to Salidar on Berserker`s ring.

I think it is reasonable to assume that the belt drops are all Grotesque Girdles. BCG is only mentioned twice in all of those kills: once as a tongue-in-cheek way of describing Grotesque Girdle as being an upgraded version of BCG "boneclasped-on-steroid belts", and once when describing the entire loot haul from a PoF clear where they also listed other belts "Belts - Visuo, Elthan ... BCGs - Khala, Tzeen". Clearly the BCGs dropped from golems in that case.

What stands out is that you don't see any mention of pre-revamp dracoliche loot coming from post-revamp dracoliche kills, which is very different from our experience on p99 green.

When a new loot table is added, people are going to be talking about the new loot and when they get it, not the old loot. So someone posting that they got a piece of the new loot does not mean the old loot is gone.

More telling is that Zam still shows the old loot is part of the Draco loot table. I'm pretty sure they wouldnt have removed the old loot, just to re-add it later on.

On 11-25-01 we pulled Draco along with a few adds we started with about 37-40ppl lvls 45-60 well after about 10mins we had him down to 10%health and at 11mins we all were dead lol
after getting rezzes and gathering again buffing up we pulled him one more time
this time we owned his punkass in less then 10mins we dropped him we very casualties he dropped the ring and the wrist band thing. this guy is very hard but not impossible just takes cooridination and determination.

We killed this guy on BB last night after the fear upgrade patch... . he's a hella lot tougher than he used to be. . somewhere in the neighborhood of 100khp i'm guessing. anyway he ended up dropping 2 crymson robe's of allendine, and a zombie bracer (ac6 int5 65hp 65mana effect: breath of the dead *low lvl necro enduring breath spell* int caster wearable)

Catherin's point is not lost on me, I considered it as well. However, I think that we would be able to find some evidence of post-revamp draco dropping pre-revamp loot if it was happening back then. Some guilds used those posts as a way to brag about new loot, others as a way to brag about kills more than the loot, and others still used it as a record of all their drops.

Given how often we see pre-revamp loot from post-revamp draco on p99, it is hard for me to believe that all of the kills I posted as evidence just coincidentally had post-revamp loot for each drop. If it worked the same way back then as it does here, surely at least one of those kills would have pre-revamp loot mixed in.

After yet another "emergency patch", we realized that our favorite gimp was back up Cazic Thule. We promptly trekked over to the Plane of Fear and cleared it in short order. As we entered, we heard CT shout "Beware all ye who taint my plane, for I will, oh shit, it is you guys. Please don't kill me again, my ass still hurts from last time." We explained to CT that if he would just hand over his loots and those from Draco and the Golems, then we would leave and raid crushbone and the prick Dvinn. He gave us some of the loots, but we knew he was holding out on us so Otismikfly suggested we bitchslap him with Operation Prosauce. He was promptly owned like the overgrown muddite he is.

Casters were overlooked again with no Brain, Eye, or Robe dropping, only phat melee loots. Cloak of the Fearsome to Dulcinea, Pauldrons of Ferocity to Ariakis and Bigbearh and Choker to Kalten. Drops from the Golems and Draco were kinda crappy. I ninjalooted a Zombie Flesh Bracer and Opis picked up an Amulet of Necropotence. Dawnfire and Bloodfire went to whoever wanted.

Kyrak here mentions both the good and bad looted off golem, as well as three drops from CT, yet they only account for one drop from Draco, supporting what the OP has concluded—that the original drops were no longer on its loot table.

In March of 2001, the Plane of Fear was re-itemized. As a result, the drops off Cazic Thule and Dracoliche were moved around somewhat. Cazic Thule and Dracoliche now drop all new items. What they previously dropped has been moved to the "demi-gods" of this plane [Fright, Dread, and Terror]. The "demi-gods" have also seen some new changes in that they're all level 55 and about as hard to fight as the old Cazic and Draco used to be. Some pieces have yet to be found, such as several items off the old Cazic Thule [Bladestorm: Katana of Steel Sleet, Bone Clasped Girdle, DawnFire: Morningstar of Light, Puppet Strings, and Shield of Rainbow Hues] and Dracoliche [Bone Razor, Staff of Undead Legions, Withered Totem of Withershims]. The popular theory is that all three "demi-gods" can drop any piece of old Cazic / Draco loot and that we just haven't seen it all drop yet.

The Phoboplasms [aka. Jello] are also somewhat of a mystery. In the past they've been known to drop a few things, such as rogue bracers, ranger greaves, etc. but with the recent changes, we're not entirely sure of what they drop. The common theory is that they drop one of each type of class armor found in the fear and hate planes, but only one type for each piece [eg. ranger greaves, but greaves only].

Various MOBs in this plane are well known for dropping a series of valuable gems, including Diamonds, Blue Diamonds, Black Sapphires, and Jacinths.

A lot of information is still coming in concerning changes to Fear. As a result, some of the information you see below may be wrong. Not all named MOBs drop items, but only one MOB with this name can be in the zone at any one time.

New Fear, Cazic Down, Fennin Ro First =)

Well, it seems like there was another challenge posed by Everquest today that was overcome by the people of Fennin Ro, that challenge was the new Plane of Fear mobs.
As I arrived, we were just finishing clearing the random mobs after the Dracoliche was downed without a hitch. The new Draco is lvl58 and dropped a few good items (See below). Next came the three minis: Dread, Fright and Terror. Dread and Fright both dropped without much of a hitch, producing some old Cazic loot and a few epic pieces. Terror was next and seemed to be a little bit higher Vox clone, throwing out a few death-touches along with a powerful AoE ice spell. Wiping out a few of us, but we all still prevailed.

Finally after bascially destroying all the Amys in the zone (using AoE and pulling the entire tower at one time) we buffed and readied for the first attempt at Cazic since the revamp of Fear.

First attempt went a little awkward, with Cazic hitting quad 600s and rampaging, along with that disgusting knockback effect that threw us around the zone. I must have spent 50% of the fight running back to CT. Was a fairly decent pull, although we had him quite centered in the zone, producing the death of our tanks one by one until we failed at 45%.

After the rez and rebuff, we decided to give it another shot with a more refined strat (we didn't know what we were getting into with the first fight). At first, Balrok went in for the agro effect on himself, with all the other melees following. Nukes flew, blades swung and people got tossed around until we finally brought him down. Not to mention the killing blow by yours truely. Was a nasty fight, but next time we'll be a little more prepared for it I think.

Grats to all on their rewards for this fine evening, and many thanks to all Defenders of Ak`anon and Silvan Rangers for finally working together as a team to bring down this powerful foe. Hopefully there will be a new beginning for Fennin after this ;)

What always struck me as weird about Draco's loot table on Green is that it was the only post-revamp mob that had a substantially new loot table stacked on top of its old one. Every other raid target I'm aware of that got a substantially new loot table didn't keep its old one - including every other mob in Fear. So it makes sense Draco should not be dropping its pre-revamp loot either.

Since the recent patch, this drops from Terror, Fright, and Dread, which are Cazic's personal bodyguards. They also drop Crimson Robe of the Alendine and Soul Leech, Dark Sword of Blood. Also saw Fright drop an Amulet of Necropotence once, but only once. Us Necros need this for our epic.

Yes this item is real, I had 1. I looted in off of the golem named Fright in Fear. I was offered 35k for it and being broke atm i sold it. I wish i had not now b/c is was very fun.

He is VERY magic resistence (all but lure line etc etc). He procs a 400( yes its 400) point cold based aoe very often. And contrarey to what you people been saying as of late, HE DEATH THOUCHES NOW. He will agro cazic, not the other golems though. He almost always hits for 360-450 and has quite a bit of hp. He IS the hardest guard of cazic. The other golems have lest hp, dont aoe nuke and hit for less. He also DOES have all of the DRACHOLITE'S old drops now. And cazics old ones are split up between the other two. Hope that helps, real info here, cleared out EVERYTHING last night with everything up and thought id share. Just remember cold buffs are the real key here.

Dread DOES NOT spawn the Iksar. My guild spent the last couple weeks finishing up epics for several people. in 2 weeks we had 3 Fear raids after confirming that the Golems were up. Every time Fright or Terror died the Iksar popped. 6 very happy Shaman in the guild, I am one of them. The good thing about Dread is only he and Cazic drop the Amulet of Necropotence so even though he doesnt pop the Iksar he is worth killing.

The middle boss of the Plane of Fear . Attacking Cazic-Thule will summon my three Golem brothers, so if you want to challenge Cazic-Thule , you must defeat the three Golem brothers in advance. Unlike the other two, Terror doesn't have a Death Touch, but uses AE Cold DD. Since Melee Max is not so high and the attack speed is slow, Tank is possible even if it is not a WAR using Defensive.

We killed dracoliche tonight after the patch. He didn't use any AE spells at all and dropped a Grotesque Girdle and a Crimson Robe of Alendine.

Lifetaps landed every time at L53. Anti-undead spells give the "cannot be cast" message.

We killed Draco on VZ today..he is now level 58 and hits for 600. He has a horrible Fear spell that currently causes mass LD, but let's hope they fix that. He dropped the Grotesque Girdle +10 int/wis +100 mana/hp all casters and priest classes wearable.

Patchday once again

Another patch another race, I decided to take the day off getting some work and other issues taken care of, whilst the guild on the other hand was very busy this late Thursday evening. Not being present most of the images below will be archived ones, but then again im quite sure most of you have seen a dead Cazic, Dain and similar by now. Fearplane was the first stop, Dracoliche this time being rather cheap on his drops, Crimsom robe and the shield, he has yet to drop the shroud of protection for us, someday though.
