Rats social aggro in Qeynos Aqueducts

Just started playing here and decided to start up a new Paladin by hunting in the Aqueducts. Fairly certain the rats there were never social in classic.

After further play, there's definitely something off with the rats' aggro. They don't only assist each other, but they also assist other non-rat mobs. It seems like they only assist the undead mobs, but after dying like 12 times to this and that damned Drosco I'm taking a break from the Aqueducts.
