So, Shissar Apothic Staff (https://wiki.project1999.com/Shissar_Apothic_Staff) should've been removed and replaced with Shissar Protection Staff (https://wiki.project1999.com/Shissar_Protection_Staff) back in around late summer 2016. (Equivalent to March 2001).
Nilbog acknowledged and posted this as fixed pending update back at the time, but it seems it was forgotten or overlooked. I don't believe any more proof is required, nor does anyone contest this change, to my knowledge.
Sorry to any future clerics. Yeah, you will lose one of your best raid items. But, a class got to keep one of their signature items 6 years longer than they were supposed to, and I think it's probably time to nerf it. It's not fair to other classes who lose theirs in era-appropriate times.
(By the way, Donal's Leggings make for a decent alternative to the Staff. Obviously, it chews through Peridots, so it's not going to replace it for stuff like HoT farm groups, but it's at least worth mentioning. Donal's Legs actually outpace it in healing per second. Back in the day I stockpiled these legs in preparation for the Staff nerf, but it never came. As a show of good faith I'll sell them for 5k each to 'real clerics' when/if this gets nerfed.)
