Something smells fishy here. You sound very bias towards the GM. Why would this be if you never were banned for anything on this server. If you have never had an issue it would be easier to assume GMs are not ego/power related banning with just a little evidence but you choose the negative.

I think you were banned for something you did so this is why you feel this way. I think you may even be Frog.

This isn't the Supreme Court, it's a GM watching someone play two accounts over multiple sessions and making a call that anyone without GM privileges could conclude. You expecting a jury and reporters to cover the case?

Hmm...characters don't seem to move as if two brains are operating them. They never talk. They can't respond to basic cues. One goes flying num-lock mode away from the GM once summoned.

It's probably because the GM is a "chick" with a power-complex. The prosecution rests your honor.

Exactly. Occasionally you both talk and move independent. Not auto-follow and fail to respond to tells.

If a GM sends you a tell after watching you play for a significant amount of time, possibly multiple sessions, just reply like a person and avoid running in the opposite direction. :)

No harm no foul, just ignored.

Then there are the posts that are unfortunately a lot more harmful as they will distort a remark or sentence, imply something that is complete fiction, or take one sentence/remark out of context, or even put words in other's mouths to try (and unfortunately sometimes succeed) and make pple believe its already a forgone fact;

A lot of the time it will come across as a rational viewpoint/opinion, But in reality Its the same hateful bull%^$# as the idiot flamers, just a more intelligent, coherent version of it. These posters put a lot more effort into being vindictive douchebags. generally all you have to do though is take a look at any of their previous posts to realize that all they do is ardently disagree, slam, insult,and flame people for some unfathomable reason.

Uthgaard's resignation had nothing to do with the macroquest/showeq bans. He was a valued member of the team his name is not mud.

Regarding disciplinary actions, I voted for the strictest punishments involving the detection bans. (deleveled to 5 with all gear gone, or permanently banned). All of them would be eternally banned and rotting in the dirt if the decision was solely mine. I'm tired of reading posts stating that I went easy on people.

So, if you're claiming some type of favoritism that I showed or show to someone? LAUGH. I did know you on emarr, Froog. I brought this up one time, but it was apparent you didn't remember me. So if this is the case, it seems like I would unban you, right? Nope, because as GMs, if we know someone, another GM handles the case.

I hope everything works out all right for you, but don't be deluded that me knowing you or anyone else warrants special treatment. In this instance, it means I don't look into your case. Sorry.

We should not be in this position at all where we need the help... the accounts should never have been banned in the first place.

Like I said - it's better an innocent person falsely be punished than a guilty person go free. Also I'm willing to bet heavy donators to the server are given breaks all the time - they're basically paying to be allowed an edge to obtain the glory they never had back in the day.

I find it pretty ridiculous and a rather amazing display of backstabbing, that someone would post and try to make a big deal about how they buddy up to Rogean over hockey and then turn around a few pages later and accuse the man of being a crook. And Nilbog, Who posted saying he needs to recuse himself from the situation....he's being labelled a crook too. What a CROCK.

Nilbog and Rogean would never just not care about a player just because that player did not donate or did not donate as much as another player.

I am tired of seeing people throwing around mud aimed at Rogean and Nilbog saying they haven't commented here and that proves x or y or z. maybe they haven't commented here because it's against policy.

Lack of staff commentary on this thread shouldn't need to be addressed. It is a well known fact that Player punishment or lack thereof is a private matter between the staff and that player. So I don't really understand why this thread lives on with bumps every so often crying for gm attention when there is a petition forum several forums below where a new petition and open discussion might have been able to transpire.

As a rule...I don't comment on public threads regarding my decisions because it violates our policy to keep player discipline private. I try to never share my side or indicate anything about my side. In this case though...it has already been stated by this particular player that I banned him.

I will however state that publically posting about discipline hasn't helped anyone as far as i know. ..... and rogean posted the following statement regarding public posts about bans:

The fact that hes wining about his ban in public forums to gather sympathy for himself rather than posting what he knows is the correct and proper method to appealing a ban in the petition forum. That is a public cry for "You're going to ban me so I'm going to make you regret it by letting everyone see what you're doing!!!11!!11oneone!!", most people do this without realizing it usually comes back to bite them in the ass.

Additionally, most permanent bans initially come with the option to return to the game several months later (talking around 5 or 6 months) and appeal for a second chance.. this second chance depends on many things, but one of the many important ones is how you reacted when you were banned... if you gave the staff trouble or denied that you did what you did, your chances become much lower. This has been the case since the start of the server.

OK Amelinda, Im very confused. A few months after I was banned I posted in petitions asking for an appeal. The only reply (Again, the only respondant was yourself through the whole ordeal) was the folowing;

As i stated before:
Boxing is a perma ban. Sorry for any inconvenience.

And then, after explaning my side of the situation and asking you if there was any way you would be willing to possibly take another look into the matter or if we could come to any kind of compromise you inform me;

I did try privatly PMing Rogaen, Uthgaar (not knowing he was gone at that time) as those were the only other GM names I knew, but got no response, I just figured they probably got way too many PM's to check them all...

So, feeling unjustly banned and being flat out told there was no chance you would even consider examining your decision further, I am left feeling I have no other option then to do the only thing I thought I had left to try and post publically, as I had not heard from anyone other then the person I felt made a mistake,
I was hoping that any other GM who might be more open minded might see the post and look into the matter.
So I go ahead and post, thinking I had nothing lef (hence the thread title) to lose and NOW I am told;

....this information would have been very useful when I asked for an appeal in the private petition forums, as all you told me was basically.. too bad so sad, your done, no appeal for you, its permanent. If I had known this information, I would have never posted in the open forums, hoping for a second opinion.
As far as "buddying up" I was hoping to jog his memory about conversations he has had with me and my gf, so he remembered she does, in fact exist.

I havent met Uth but from what ive heard and read about him too bad soo sad he punished alot of ppl being stupid or acting like assclowns. he was doing what he was supposed to be doing. Never knew gm's were supposed to be your friend... i thought they were here to do their job and remove trash and ban hackers etc etc..

Is it like getting pulled over by a cop you knew back in high school and you beg him not to give you a ticket?

By "second chance" I think they mean you can start a new account and be welcomed on the server. I seriously doubt a "permanent ban" can result in you getting your box happy toons back after 6 months.

But... you already failed the maturity test that was laid out for you.

Someone may want to clarify.. they dont really mean they let boxers/cheaters/etc the option of a "2nd chance" after 6 months to get back their old account..right?

Uthgaard, im getting the vibe from your comment that you will be rejoining us soon and purge the cheaters and boxers from our ranks, starting with the red server. We are already throwing flowers at your projected path.

We were banned once a like year and a half ago.. we were like wtf.. posted in petitions. (Can't remember who banned us /shrug)

Uthgaard read the post, looked into it, clearly explained the mixup to us and why it happened (whoever banned us thought we were helping some hacker with item xfers or laundering or something, anyway it turned out all it was is we sold a bunch of cb belts to the guy) and he promptly reinstated the accounts.

Couldn't disagree with you more Lovely, Ive never seen or heard of him being biased.... yeah he can be uhh.. firm.. but he has, in our experience, always been completely fair.
