I thought this bug had been fixed.

There seems to be a problem with charm where if the owner of the pet camps out or evacs/gates the mobs start fighting eachother.

Maestro of Rancor actually was killed the other night due to this bug and no one got him because of it.

Anyone know if this is slated to be fixed?

If you have exact steps to replicate it I can look into it, I simply don't have time to spend hours just trying to figure out how to reproduce it.

Im pretty sure this is the way.

1. Charm mob.
2. Send mob to attack another mob.
3. Gate or camp while they are fighting

Happened again in Fear a few hours ago.

Zoned in, tank got shadowsteped on the first hit, enchanters charmed an ape and spider, train of adds came and we evac'd out. We came back to a tornado of 30 mobs clearing the zone on their own.

Definitely fixable. I understand how it is working now. Its tough when there were so many things that could start the faction wars. I guess just have to keep knocking them out til they are all gone.

Happened in Hate tonight. Same way, rat was charmed and started it all.

I know it is a bug and has to be fixed but that must have be awesome in Fear see all those mobs fighting

fear was totally clear in like 20min...

It is the mobs that fear or shadow step that cause the faction war to spread.

i had it happen to me in Lower guk at both lord and frenzy camp.. charmed 1.. FDed and when my charmed mob dies, the other 2 attack eachother.. didn't happen every time.. but like 50% chance or so... maybe higher. but i had to be FD for it to happen. (ie out of agro from mobs)

Happening at Hate atm. Got feared while pulling, was sent running around until ended up in a house with a forsaken revenant, the revenant charmed me, and the next second the pack that had been chasing me proceed to start killing each other. Utter chaos ensues, mobs running all over the place ignoring players and butchering one another.

Interesting. So in this case, once you were charmed and became the Revenant's "pet", all the agro that was coming your way transferred to your owner despite the fact that they are on the same faction.

That certainly puts a new spin on things.

So it seems there are multiple ways to cause this.
