Just to preempt my own thread on server chat:

The lvl 6 air pet in the Elementaling category has a higher regen rate (7 hp/tick standing) than the lvl 9 air pet (6 hp/tick standing). So far in my research, this is the only instance of the pattern of higher level = higher or same regen rate not being upheld.

Just finished some more testing tonight and found the same thing on the Elementaling: Water. lvl 6 pet regens for 7 a tick while the lvl 9 pet regens for 6 a tick (standing in both cases).

As mentioned on the Server Chat thread, this is assuming that a pet's regen rate is a constant whole number. Hit points are claculated by damage taken and using the "/pet health" command. Then regen rates are calculated using the found max HP value and the percentage per tick in regen.
