I posted this issue in pvp bugs but someone mentioned to me its not really a pvp bug and to post it in normal section.
I always thought songs went through zones even if its only a few tics. I found some talk about the old velious PoM run where you get selos outside of ToV in WW and make a mad dash with DA and shiny brass idol

Devine Aura/Devine Barrier type spell. For those who dont have them, look up shiny brass idol. Make friends with a bard to start you out with a selo's.

Start with at least a SOW potion but Bard 2 minute Selos is better. Since you're non-kos to COV you can get into a good position and just do it. Load up on buffs beforehand and make sure that you have Bind Affinity loaded. When you get to PoM, BIND FIRST. .
When your ready to do it have a bard give u selo's outside then get invis and run to aary's pit
Right now bards songs dont go through zone. I know these excerpts are of the 2 min selo song of running to PoM.I myself remember doing the run and standing outside ToV and getting selo and booking it hard. Its not hard evidence that songs went through zone lines in classic but i would think would apply to classic
