This has happened twice so far to me while hunting in the Northern Desert of Ro. If you get rabies from the mummies in the zone the debuff lists as lasting 40-60 minutes (I haven't thought to look the second I got hit with it). This is good and fine and classic, but the issue comes when you log off the character with rabies still active. Upon returning your rabies will be reset to three hours :eek:

I've been tracking down people to run to so I can buy cures, but it would be preferable to just play through the original timer rather than feel obligated to wait until the rabies runs it's course before logging out.

Apparently using the Gate spell will cause the debuff to explode to three hours as well :/

I can verify this is happening. It has happened to me in Qeynos Hills and Befallen. The timer looks normal but later is much worse. I hadn't linked the zoning / gating / logging cause.. Good catch.

This has been an issue at least since last November and probably since the server went live. BUMP

This also happened to me in Nektulos Forest. Caught it from a lesser mummy.

This also occurs when zoning, not just logging and returning.

Yeah -- has happened to me a few times in Unrest. Reset to 3 hours when I zoned.

Happened to me in oasis of marr. Got rabies from a mummy, gated and rabies timer was set to 180 minutes.

I killed the Greenblood zombie in Ferrott yesterday. I got rabies, I played until it ran out and logged a while later. I still have the swollen flesh in my inventory (not sure if thats got anything to do with it). I logged in this morning and have a 2 hour rabies debuff.
