The effect on the SK epic seems to have some stacking issues.

Soul Consumption Recourse should stack with Vampiric curse recourse. - http://lucy.alkabor.com/stacking_2466.html

http://lucy.alkabor.com/stacking_3977.html shows that the recourse doesn't stack when the detrimental effect of vampiric curse is on the caster, but the recourse should stack.

Did a little testing... it seems that Soul Consumption (DoT) will stack with Vampiric Curse (DoT), but only if Vampiric Curse (DoT) is cast first.

Soul Consumption Recourse does overwrite Vampiric Curse Recourse.

Soul consumption should also be stacking with itself. I found information regarding it. One poster said that it could stack twice with itself, where another poster didn't specify any limit to the amount of procs that could stack. This means that if I were to proc 2-3 times in a row, the dot could go from 50pt to 100-150pt of damage per tick.

level 50 for it to proc and it can only proc 2 times from what I have read at everlore. I know the First part in OT you have to give the DE guy with the name innoruuk spelled backwards 3 Df pieces and 900 and kill him (which I have not done) does anyone know what I do after that. Maybe the note tells the next part..shrugs..If anyone has some info on the rest please post I am sure every sk wants this great weapon. Also what he/she ment is Xate was the first one to do the quest. good Luck Brothers

The SK epics proc is indeed a 50pnt a tick DoT, for a total of 250pnts. The DoT then gives the life back to you at 50hps a tick. The nice thing about this is, at least that I have noticed, is that this effect stacks on itself. I have had the epic proc 2-3 time back to back, and thus I regenned 100-150hps a tick. Not too bad. Hope this helps.

This stacking with itself stuff sounds wrong... no other dots or hots in the game stack with themselves for cumulative amounts, do they?

Stacking with itself does sound wrong, but it did happen- at least for a time on live. That is what made useing the SK epic good even above some other better velious swords. What I "Think" and or "remeber" it was, is that the recource would stack- the mob still only takes 50pt dmg but the "lifetap/regen" recource stacks as many times as you can proc and have buff slots for. That is how I remeber is- Faz has some of the research there. I am working on waybackmachine-ing shadowknight.org also scrubbing the patch logs to see if it was ever "take out" in late velious or luclin or ever? /shrug.

Been talking to a few peeps who where also SKs on live, although not here- they all confirm that the recource statcked with itself (each did take up a buff slot- this was a good solo/group tool, not a raid advatntage as it would eat up slots or you only had 1 or 2 slots free anywho)

Faz I am sure will find some more wayback info- I will ask the people who remeber back in the day haveing their epics to post their remeberances of the recource stacking. I always remeber the SKs during groups and raids being like "I had 4 up for 2 tics beat that" "Ohh I had 6 for 1 tic then 5 for 2 more, woo beat that" and such 'contests' lol

we all eagerly awate this next patch that should be huge!

also vamp curse and soul consumption was not landing (on me: the recourse) when I had some spell tolajump casted on me...maybe that is what the spell does...I'll have to look @ logs to see what spell it was, obvs a ench debuff

BUMP for epic dot stacking. The epic being able to proc/stack multiple times hasn't been changed has it? The proc just refreshes the active buff instead of adding more

Used this on live and it during Velious to early luclin era. Never saw it stack with itself but yes to vamp curse. The ability to stack with itself was definitely some problem with spell system overhauls, but for a MUCH later era.

Vamp curse should stack 4 sure tho.

It should stack with Vampiric Curse and also with itself on the caster from what I gather.
