bard songs bugged gain

hi yas....just got home from work.went on a raid..and can barely twist 2 songs =/ i downloaded new spell file..no change...it just gest interrupted on start..sometimes 3-4times in a row..impossible to twist 3-4 songs...=/

I've noticed this on my bard as well. Songs aren't getting interrupted so much as the bar is disappearing in the first second of casting the song, it still continues casting, but the bar drops out. This only seems to happen when I attempt switch to another song while currently singing another.

Fourthing this. My song will begin to cast briefly, within less than half a second the bar disappears, the song still casts but it's definitely thrown a kink into things!

Yea, I thought it was the pvp arena that was bugged. But I went out and tried to twist too, same thing. Even worse than before IMO. :(

Same problem here. Very hard to twist when you don't have the progress bar, and in a group with lots of combat spam it's almost impossible to even tell if it failed or is still going

Same problem here. If say currently selo's is playing (speed song), and that I press a song hotkey to stop it (1 stroke), the song will stop, then I hit the song hotkey for heal song (1 stroke), nothing will happen but the casting bar will appear for a fraction of a second, then I hit the same kay again (1 stroke), nothing happens but it looks like I've just stopped a song, then finally I hit it again (1 stroke) and the song starts playing, unless I miss a note.

So it takes at least 4 strokes to switch from one song to another. I've noticed that if I hit the songs but leave a 0.2 -0.5 second delay between strokes, this happens a lot less. So my uneducated guess is that this is a synch problem between client and server, but I'm likely to be completely wrong since I have no idea how this works.

Nothing seems to be broken for me other than the cast bar. Hit two keys and you'll see the bar gone, but you're still casting the song you'd intended to.

Sadly, i am experiencing the same thing since the last patch. I get sometimes 3-4-5 interrupts in a row with songs that should not be (like just plain singing ones) and the occasional cast bar disappearing after its halfway through.

yea, its a visual bug, songs will still be casted but this way you get fooled that u might have missed a note and klick the spell gem again wasting precious time!

Mitic is right, this is strictly a visual bug, so as long as you don't miss a note you can have faith the song will play through, so very annoying.

I played my bard for about 3 hours straight yesterday, and I noticed nothing wrong from the norm. Keep in mind, I tested many things out. I tried using just hotkeys 1-8 to play songs, I used alt + 1-8 to play songs and I clicked with the mouse to play the songs. I noticed there were more mess ups with the mouse (supposed songs not playing) than using either methods of hotkeys. I also noticed, if you press the keys too quickly, it is more likely to happen, but if you take a split second to slow it down, you won't get these visual bugs.

I am also having this problem! It is awful trying to twist spells without a "casting bar". This should be a relatively simple fix and I am hoping this problem goes away :)

I played my bard yesterday for the first time since the patch, macros flat out don't work for me, it is visual, but with missed notes and the incredible timing accuracy needed for twisting that way, I can't keep 4 songs up, actually trying I'm more likely to get 2 or none.

Mouse twisting is, as already mentioned, a bit tricky, often a mouse click doesn't register. I could twist in old school fashion with double taps and holding alt down, but of course that jacks your hand up :P

I also Tried spell gems on the macro bar, that worked ok, but I did notice an increase in missed notes - or perhaps that suffers the same issue as mouse clicks - hard to tell when battle text is flying by.

Net result is, I find it extra hard to play the bard right now.

I understand what you guys are talking about but I am able to twist 4 songs without any issues (unless I'm tanking of course). Interrupts happen occasionally, but if I had to count out of how many clicks I get an interrupt or a missed note it has to be something like 1 out of 100 clicks at the very least.

In case anyone is wondering I exclusively use my spellbar and mouse when I'm twisting.
(Call me crazy but that's how I did it on live too)

thank god :) I mean if you're used to twisting 4 songs because you did it over a course of 4 years back on live, it's not that big a deal, but especially when your trying to twist crowd control songs, getting interrupted by stuns and bashes, it's sometimes very useful to have a casting bar for maximized efficiency.

I also noticed that if I slow down and only twist 3, the casting bar appears more often, so in the beginning I thought theyr'e just trying to add a level of difficulty to 4-twisting on P99 :P

Another note, it seems like when I'm being stunned while "casting" a song, it will sometimes just keep on playing (like channeling for a caster). Now it's been a while since i played a bard on live, but was it always that way? I have a distinct memory of having a special AA just for that, could be wrong though

I for one never never attempt to twist 4 songs when actually in a live crowd control situation and I'm fairly certain that the groups I play in understand that when there are multiple mobs in camp they will most likely not see any songs in their song window.

If there is one add I charm it until the other mob is dead. If there are two mobs I will charm one and have it offtank the other or just back and forth mez both (depending on charm resist rate of the mob).

I do agree with you that if the casting bar is truly disappearing prematurely, then it should be fixed but getting interrupted a lot due to being hit and nuked by mobs is just the way it goes. Definitelly stick to 1 or 2 songs max when you are dealing with CC. The group can do without 20 seconds of regen and haste. (The exception to this might be a magic resist song if you have multiple nukers in camp.)

Just my opinion.
