damn nilly finally griefed me but on blue. thanks for getting me booted from <Taken> after i finally found a casual group of people to enjoy the game. was fun leveling up from scratch but it was shitty finding a home only to get evicted in the same week. hope you are happy Supreme, not sure why you didnt just talk to me on ts3 like men, it's not asking much. you would think a fellow veteran would have a backbone to talk to someone about a joke. I never even joined the channel nor did I realize we were in the same ts3 until I was about to log. I took a screen thinking it would be funny to pretend I was in Nihilum, i didnt even know about the pvp in fear last night nor would I care. anyhow you take the game way too seriously.

Yah. He was in <Taken> on blue which reformed from Transcendence which was the guild that supreme lead or was an officer in. Its also the guild that he was a part of when he was banned for using MQ2. Both guilds use the same TS server.

I do know that your stunt does not represent what the community as a whole represents. Contrary to what you *might* think alot of us have been playing together in various MMO's for MANY years. As a new guy in the community you are being watched and observed by many people (not just myself).I was not even aware that you made a post and was actually notifed of it by other members of the community.

You only have yourself to blame for your poor decisions. If you would have actually taken the time to understand/converse with the people in Taken you would have understood that this was not acceptable.

However i am also fair. You can speak with Fearstalker(as he is an admin) and work to clear this up.

No...the beta just actually started with Basalisk. There are a few things not implemented yet (ships and a couple classes), but it's definitely playable and pretty fun. I figure there won't be a wipe for a year or two at least...and they've promised no more wipes until it goes gold.

For the "blue" comment...there's plenty of PvP on SWGEmu.

It's total sandbox though, so read the forums (new player guides) and watch some youtube vids. The game has a steeeep learning curve Sam...but you play EvE so thereyago.

Be prepared to grind...

They're moving to new servers so it's down right now, and probably will be all day tomorrow.

PM's sent bros. The population is running about 1.5k now...and this is after they nerfed running the client in more than one instance on a box a couple months ago. I'm sure peeps are running on multiple PC's...but there is def a good population, especially if you start in Coronet.

You'll need cash so you have to grind delivery missions at first. The easiest thing to do is to run Theed - Moenia...the way you do it is to select 2 missions in Theed at the mission terminal. Filter your payment by amount and only take 1300+ credit payouts. Those should end in Moenia. Take 2 missions back by again choosing 1300+ payouts. As soon as you get 7500 credits, buy a Swoop...makes it go much faster.

I've ground the crap out of deliveries to get Ubese armor on one toon, and mastered Artisan on another...going up the architect tree but I think I'm going to change it to Weaponsmith or Armorsmith. Started his combat line for Rifleman today...

Also...watch this series. Hawkke's SWGEMU: Let's Play (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PoQ7CighBr4). It's pretty informative, even though it's slow as F*. Guy gets on my nerves, lol.

If you start in Theed the population is lower...but it's not bad. See Doc Magee (sp?) in the Hospital for buffs...and Kadex in the Kantina to top off entertainer buffs. I've been tipping 5k a pop for health buffs and 1.5k for entertainer buffs...don't really know if that's enough but not had complaints, lol.

Scoutin aint easy. Right now grinding dat scout XP so i can make bigger camps. this is the most basic one. the next one can fit more people. eventually as they get bigger they start including crafting areas and other stuff. almost small towns towards end game. this will allow us pvpers to camp outside hostile cities and get ready for battle. missin you pals but havin a relaxing time on swg. good retirement, better than blue.

one cool thing about the combat is it takes into consideration cover and concealment. fighing in the prone increases your covers which in turn increases your defense. in one more level ill get a new shot that blows people out of cover so there is a counter for it.if anyone interested we still need combat medics/ doctors. you can do more than one thing in the game so you can do combat medic / rifleman or what not. anyhow see you in game

I am approaching novice rifleman and half way to becoming a ranger. my first few pvp encounters have been total rape but that wont be the case for long. there seems to be little rebel pvpers, the majority of PVPers belong to the Empire. Will be starting a guild soon and erecting a guildhall and player town. hehe erecting. the good thing about the SW grind is you never have to face the same mob for more than 10 min and along the way i can craft, forage, setup camp, and dance for xp. yeah thats right DANCE FOR XP.

not only will it put you into the system im in (Naboo > Moenia) but itll save me an assload of typing. IT DOESNT MATTER what you start as for the most part. this is a sandbox, you can change and do w/e you want. just start off scout and do tutorial for the ease of everything. the biggest decision you need to make soon after starting is do you want to be melee or range. in the tutorial i think it trains you in brawling (melee) but right afterwards you can do marksman. you can train both to see which one you like but need to pick one or the other so you can pvp/grind.

start as scout, it doesnt matter what you start out as you can change it soon as you are done with tutorial. think about whether or not you want to be markman (range) or brawler (melee). if you the the tutorial itll teach you brawler but right afterwards you can learn marksman if you want.

Id suggest doing a bit of scout and medic starting out, you can always remove it later

Melee good class i know about are swordsman and Tera Kasi master (sorta like an EQ monk) ---> Go train Brawler and go up the skill trees to specialized classes

Ranged not so sure, i like rifleman --> train marksman and go up the specialized trees

yeah, with my swordsman doing Tusken raiders was much easier

Even fully buffed, full armor, i get face pwned in geonosis solo as a master rifleman master combat medic, not sure how melees fare there.

So I made it half way through the tutorial for this last night and ended up accidentally insuring something during the tutorial so I didn't have any credits to do anything and had to skip the tutorial LOL. Besides u can easily play both games, I'm not advocating people stop play this box of they are still having fun but if they want a break or play something during med time then I hope they come to swg. The players of red99 made the server enjoyable, not the box.

I play both at the same time, i was playing it before samwise posted on the forums.

Biggest draw away from red to me is them seemingly not giving a fuck about xp loss in pvp meaning there wont be any sizeable amount of fun pvp on the server.

at school, just finished one of my finals papers. thank god for the internet because without it I would have been screwed. Had to write a paper somatolactin. Shits not even on wikipedia. I cant stand going through dozens of published papers but I had to do what I had to do.

edit: Btw dude I've been doing some reading and there is still so much shit we dont know. Like examine your weapons, there is more to it than just using the best weapon you qualify for. In fact the rifle I've been using completely sucks for grinding although its the newest weapon I learned to use. Also it looks like pvp is a litle more detailed than I had originally thought which is a good thing. I love games where things just keep getting more complicated. I kinda effed up picking Wookie but I am not rerolling.
