wraith being aggro to kos npcs, etc could be entirely different.

I've read some things and have my theories, but would like to bring up this old topic again and get some more community feedback.


Be careful when pulling her as the amy's may kill her.

As for the amy's aggroing... look at the bright side. Amy's don't HT anymore... you CAN pull thru as long as she stays aggro'd on the puller, and doesn't stop to fight.

Pulling is not as hard...just make sure no aoe mobs hit her or yes she will get herself killed. We just trained the temple out and plucked the shissar off the end of it.

Honestly, what I would ask for is to have the Shissar not killed by other POF mobs on a bad pull. Recent changes have made the shissar aggro when the Amys are pulled, and I had my poof last week (after nearly a year working on the epic, ~4-5 months of the Shissar being the last piece.) You don't see the Warder (Ragefire trigger) being killed by a Guardian Wurm, do ya? /shrug

If you agrro shissir and she does an AE, Army's will kill her because she is indifferent. If puller dies, she despawns. Best approche is to clear temple, then rush her to kill it.

The shissar aggros him (as does everything else in there). The puller dies (quite early), and suddenly - The shissar is GONE!! It de-spawned!!

The Wraith of the Shissar despawns not long after Cazic-Thule is killed. I don't have an exact time, but I know that we killed Cazic, and by the time we cleaned up the extra mobs that attacked us with Cazic, completed the rezzes and prepared to fight the Wraith, it despawned. Poor chanter. =(

Taking all of the above together (some of it could be wrong I know) is leading me to a certain conclusion about this NPC. What do you all think? Currently this NPC is set to not agro anything in PoF and I am wondering if that needs to change and under what circumstances.

Yeah if you pulled that wrong, things went to hell and no NPC.

Didn't know it was the Amy's.

Methinks better things to fix/ignore this because this seems like an unintended bug but..
if you feel like changing this to match the timeline.. sure.

Interesting note in this walkthrough about "Wraith of a Shissir". Currently respawns with Cazic Thule repopulating the zone.

This part has changed!
The Shissar Spirit no longer spawns when Cazic Thule dies. Rather it is on an unknown timer. It will spawn after a couple days and despawn after some time or on some unknown cue.

This is true. Older walkthroughs of this quest sometimes say that it can't be - because at one time, that was the case.

Long ago, when Kunark and the epics were young, the only way to get the Shissar to appear was by killing Cazic-Thule. The Shissar spawned from his corpse on his death, much like the Black Reavers do in City of Mist, or the Corrupteds from the Tainted Druid epic mobs.

At that time (and still to this day, I believe) when C-T spawned he re-spawned the entire zone, which de-spawned the Shissar. So, back then, they could in fact not be up at the same time.

But all this changed long ago, and the spawn of the Shissar is not related to Cazic-Thule's death at all, and they can and frequently are both up at the same time.

The Wraith now spawns on about a 72 hour cycle in Fear, in the Temple. So if ya wanna kill the Wraith ya still gotta clear the temple, you just dont have to have Cazic up.
