Ogre Head quest in Kaladim

Byzar Bloodforge in Kaladim warrior guild gives a quest to return Corflunk and Zarchoomi's heads. In classic EQ the rewards were various pieces of Blackened Iron armor including rarely the crown. Later this was changed to the dwarf only Bloodforge armor.

Ogre Heads

You need to collect the heads of Cornflunk and Zarchoomi from ButcherBlock. You need to take them to Byzar Bloodforge the very same dwarf you go to do the Bloodforge Hammer quest. Though he doesn't mention it...you give him the heads and he then in return gives you a piece of small blackened iron armor. And yes the you have a chance of getting a full suit of Blackened iron armor including the Blackened Iron Crown and Blackened Iron Boots. Completing this quest leads to getting the Bloodforge Hammer Quest. Good Faction adjustment, good items. A well worth it quest for those newbies who are looking for good armor. I warn you though that you must be in good with the dwarves first before you can complete the quest so try to be viewed Amiably to be able to do it. You don't wanna waste heads. So go kill lots of Orcs and Goblins first.

I completed the quest earlier and received the Bloodforge Helm if it would be possible to have this replaced with the Blackened Iron Crown I would appreciate it.

The link you posted goes to a fansite. They may just be confusing black iron with bloodforge armour there. It has the same stats after all. Where did you read they changed it at some point to bloodforge armour?

I find it hard to believe that armour that drops deep in Runnyeye is so easy to obtain from some lvl 10ish mobs in Butcherblock. Also none of the comments on allakhazam mention it being black iron armour once.

And currently the crown is the most common reward the quest gave me so far. I'm collecting the pieces in the hope of completing the set some time. I've gotten the crown 7 times so far, the gloves 3 times and most other pieces just once. The crown being lore meant in some cases that I didnt recieve anything but a message saying I cant hold duplicate lore items.

This quest is working fine. But if you can link a patchnote or something saying at some point the quest was changed to give out bloodforge armour pieces from that point on.... depending on when that was done maybe it should be changed. But then it would have to be reversed again later on...

I wouldnt touch this quest.

No. I believe thats a mistake on allakhazam.
Read the comments below on the above link. They all talk about a crown. not a coif. Just do a search on the page for the word 'crown' and you'll find several hits. Do a search for 'coif' after and it will only hit the known loot list on top.
