hahaha !
Absolute awesomeness, Sonic Bats in SolB now have a 5+ second stun upon melee combat!
This is not classic, but very fun! I suggest changing all NPC stuns to this mechanic, but clearly this isn't classic (Nilbog darn you!!).
No complaints, but FYI.

I would be inclined to agree the stun is a tad bit absurd at the moment after that last bats fix.
I don't remember it ever being as bad as that on live.

at level 41 as a druid with a measly 50 charisma, I could charm these pretty well if we got too much. Charm wears off, he will try to take your head off, but won't insta-kill you like some other mobs. Don't recommend this if you are expected to be the last line of heals, because the stun may make a party member dead when you can't cast.
Is actually pretty resistable...

Against even or even higher level bats, I resisted the scream a LOT with only 30ish MR. Probably about 2/3rds of the time I resisted them.
On the other hand, often on a triple pull or so, it was still well worth stunning one to give the enchanter a second to tash/entrance, without the risk of him getting stunned.

Sonic bat stun on live was rediculous, pulling and tanking them was a nightmare to most.

This is very much classic, those bats were always a pain in the ass with that friggin stun. Tanking these things were always a nightmare, and as stated it could be worse. Why were this buggers a bitch? They would stun and aggro wipe themselves - typically heading for the healer that was spamming something on the tank.

Ogres take the stun because its a spell not a melee stun. I soloed bats for like 5 levels on live on my monk in the lower 50s, and I do not recall them chaining stun 5 times over like they do here. I've died to a single bat on here from full hp b/c it stun locked me until I was dead and could not cast FD.

As a side note I've never seen these tanked with a ogre, but I remember a particularly nasty human SK tanking these in classic (me) that got continuously locked down by these freegin things. When the cleric is nuking while you are spinning, the group chat window explodes into lines of text of "%$^ a sonic bat ON ME - ARGGHH IT BURNS - I'M GOING DOWN!!!!#$@^%" you know things are not going right...

I think the problem is just that procs occur a lot more often on any emu server than live. Mob procs, PC procs, etc.

That would make sense Reiker. The proc rate on those bat stuns is riiiiidiculous.
I love resisting 3-5 stuns in just as many seconds.

Proc rate has been reduced by 25%. That bring them in alignment with the proc rate of the other NPC's in high level dungeons.

2 sonic bats on different melee timers could easily stunlock you. I remember mad procage.
