The wiki is there to help avoid these ass holes that take advantage of people. Quit being such a fucking cry baby about someone using the wiki prices you jackass.

Besides, from these messages all he does is ask the value. I see no mention of wiki until you started crying.

Making money is taking advantage of people? You do know that buying/manufacturing something for less than what you are going to sell it for is the base idea behind all trade since the beginning of time? Usually people get items for cheap when someone doesn't want to wait that extra 2 days to get someone to pay the "going rate" on an item. And someone who can capitalize on this is not an asshole, they're just smart and patient.

An item is worth what someone will pay for it, not what the wiki says and not what the /shout PC on xx response in EC says.

This dude .... how is it wrong to want to know whether he's making a good investment or deal? I am not very hostile at all on here or IRL, but seriously you are being a little girl. Aside from all that you say that you wrongfully directed your anger and frustration towards him yet you go ahead an ignore that to try and shame him. Wanting to know current values is not being disrespectful, it's being smart. You aren't going to go around making trades in game without knowing whether you are making a good decision and especially in real life. When the hell would you do that?

Another example of something silly was when I was asking for a transfer and specifically said, "only someone of a known guild and good reputation" and the only 2 people that send me tells either don't meet those requirements at all or straight up tell me they have no reputation. When I said, "you are a naked trader alt with no guild tag, sorry." they freak out on me telling me I am disrespectful and rude. Well actually we ended up having a convo and working it out and actually went through with the transfer and had no isses which was nice.

Anyways, you should not have jumped to conclusions for him doing something that anyone in their right mind would do. I know my example isn't really the same thing, but it goes to show you should not jump to conclusions so fast and shun someone like that for being cautious and aware of the situation. It never pays to be careless with money and items of certain value. Even if you are going to wear or use the item, it's still good to not lose money on the deal for future reselling value.

Also, doesn't everyone watch the wiki and auction trader? It does reflect the current market... It's just the same as watching and remembering things you see in game, except you don't have to. Simply a useful tool that you can only benefit from by having a rough estimate or guideline. It just seems you think you are above players who use these tools to our disposal for some reason.

That was my novel on the subject. Now available at Amazon and other fine retailers alike.

this guy just doesnt interact well with others, i had a similar experience with him wondering about a pair of vibrating gaunts. i think he just genuinely doesnt realize he comes off as someone who is either very short/rude or possibly he just has some mild form of irl aspergers and doesnt handle social interactions well.

No, you didn't. I said what I would pay for them, being similar to what I sold them for.

You said no.

I said get in touch with me if they don't sell. End. Not talked since.

Thread is full of win. Immersion levels and group think is strong among the mob. Allah Akbar.

Actually it's more to do with I'd rather deal with people who use items, not flog them off. If he said "no use for legs but I'm starting a rogue", or "only plat at the moment" instead of lineballing for a quick flip to some other poor schmuck then I'd of bought it. I just don't like dealing with traderkids. By going directly to value, with no dialogue or discourse he showed me who/what he is and I'm happy not to buy. If he did open a dialogue, I would of paid the 80k over the next best offer that I suggested with no reservations. Sometimes it isn't just the trade that matters to me, I have alts full of raid gear if be trading away of I know it would be used by people not flicked for a buck. Part of not wanting my items ending up as RMT.
