Loading game from EQgame Shortcut

I ran through the installation instructions and changed all the file information that I was told to change. When I double click the eqgame.exe - shortcut it loads the game and I see the EQ cursor but the screen is blank. Am I missing something obvious?

I run on Windows 7 64bit
Dual Monitors
Gforce GTX560
intel I7 960
12gb Ram
Comcast 50mb service

Not sure what other info I could add but Im sure I missed something.

Try what is suggested to solution number 1 in the FAQ found here:
http://www.project1999.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=94928

Quote:

Go to your EQ folder. Find the file eqclient.ini and open it in a text editor (i use notepad, its the simplest to use)

hit ctrl+f, type windowedwidth, you should see something like this:

WindowedWidth=1280
WindowedHeight=768
Width=1280
Height=768
FullscreenBitsPerPixel=32
FullscreenRefreshRate=0
WidthWindowed=1280
HeightWindowed=768

change it to this:

WindowedWidth=800
WindowedHeight=600
Width=800
Height=600
FullscreenBitsPerPixel=32
FullscreenRefreshRate=0
WidthWindowed=800
HeightWindowed=600

I'm using 800 x 600 here, but you may need to fiddle with that a bit. If 800 x 600 isnt working, try using your monitors native resolution instead. Eventually, you will get a combination that works, just keep trying.

Also, I see you are using dual monitors. Others have had issues. Here is one post discussing them http://www.project1999.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=110816

If you search the forums for dual monitors, there are others.

Thanks for the input. I fiddled around with it for a while and found the EQWin recommendation so I gave it a try and it works perfectly. Not even going to bother trying to get it to work without it.

Thanks
