Anyone notice your spells get interrupted more when you minimize your game?

What's the deal with that?

Was that always in the original game?

No,. but I've noticed that my spells get interrupted all the time for no reason. I swear there is code that makes this happen just to emulate the hardcore of classic.

enter combat and cast spell
char didn't move
enemy didn't hit me
your spell was interrupted
fuuuuu   :(

Edit: Then other times I can jump around doing 360 no scope practice shots while casting,. move back to the location I started casting and the spell goes off no problem.
I can't explain it other than the server is purposely giving bad rolls at times. I can't verify but it may be possible to detect the state of the client with the custom moded anticheat dll.
Or more on the topic it may have something to do with FPS when you put the game in the background. Did you know if you turn down the FPS can you spin your char around really fast?
Also your character gets really slide happy at lower fps, may be getting pushed around due to that.

I definitely get spells interrupted more when I minimize. It's not even a little bit. It's like 5x as much. Very noticeable.

It's due to background FPS and Titanium, just like how auto-follow doesn't work very long when multi-boxing in EQ unless you change Background FPS (newer clients). You also get pushed back far more, thus the interuptions.. You also start to lose elevation while running if lev'd in the sky, among other things.

I don't believe there is a fix for this version of EQ without 3rd party so it's best not to alt tab while in close combat. https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...d.php?t=267616
