I thought maybe this was just the /con command, but that corpses could still be right-clicked. However, doing some research (thanks again Dolalin for the site), I not only confirmed OP's find, but I also found that resurrection timers are too long (until Velious ... and for 2-5 level characters):

It's been a long time, but I believe this is one of those out-of-era things which has been known from P99's earliest days, but left in so as to reduce petition rate and staff workload, similar to item links. I recall previous discussion about it, at least, although I can't remember exactly when.

They might get a few extra petitions on server launch, but I really think the player base would adjust to real, classic EverQuest pretty quickly, and related petitions would drop off. |
