Go buy an acoustic guitar from a pawn shop and teach yourself to play from youtube and ultimateguitar.com....You will need to learn to read "tablature"' or "tabs", but it is a very intuitive system - easy to learn from a few videos. I sit around and pick on my guitars all the time while playing EQ.
