Agreed. I was a Holo app during my brief stint on Red and when they were forced to name change at first I was hyped cause it was a chance to get a better name and for some reason they picked like the dumbest name possible.

Blue is inferior because the raid guilds are a 10-20 member group of people that have been on the server for years with serious pixel addiction and the other 200 members of them are WoW bluebies that came over fairly recently. This why they're content sitting on their ass doing nothing all day and getting DKP for it because they know no other way and they also think there's no other way to play the game. So all these scrubs sit around and "contribute" while the core gets all the BiS phats that they subsequently dont even use because they really don't need them because all content is downed day one and there's no need to protect your raid from another PvP raid crew trying to derail it.

After recently rolling a WoW toon everything about the direction this server has gone made perfect sense to me within and hour of gameplay. WoW Blue is nubby as shit and Blue WoW "raiders" are about the lamest bunch of nubs you could possibly play videogames with. They've been coming to P99 blue in a slow steady trickle for a few years now. This is one of the main reasons why Red will never get traction. Blue EQ is way too "hardcore" for them, they would never roll Red, especially when they have no coattails to ride and they gotta pull up their big boy pants and get good at the game to progress in levels.

Its perfect for the "raid" guilds. What they essentially did was trivialize the path to 60 with powerlevels and Chardok AOE. They distilled the classes much like WoW did so now people only roll "useful" classes, when a lot of EQ is the great variety and depth to classes and different styles of gameplay, both "gimp" and OP. They have a nice TS channel for everybody to hang out in. The neckbeards basically have transformed endgame EQ into WoW and bamboozle impressionable nubs into poopsocking and buffing for DKP to feed their own pixel addiction. Absolutely unbelievable.
