Default old thoughts from Thott

Thought this was an interesting post that Thott made about Kunark. Kind of funny since we were on Kunark for 5 years here.

How time consuming levels 51-60 are is the reason I have never gone past level 51

The good old days of a full group camping 3-6 mobs on a 20+ minute repop.

The feign death one is pretty funny. Imagine someone writing an article in that style but with p99 strats.

"The dragon charges into battle assuming his guards are at his back, but instead his guards are chasing a single foe, they are all distracted by an ancient relic, the Bladestopper. Without his drake, wyern, and wurm army the dragon quickly falls to the 150 raiders."

...while the dragon's army has completely forgotten they were attempting to protect their leader in the first place. The army slowly meanders back to their posts while they hear the clanking of swords and spears against scale and bursts of thunder echoing off the walls of the hall.

Sony messed up how they released expansions.

Kunark should not have been a level increase or had lower level content, but rather just added more high end /raid content for the 40-50 range since the quantity of players always trends upwards as MMO's age.

Velious should of been the first level increase, to 55, and focused on 50-55 content and raiding.

The model of expansion would allow the old world to stay relevant rather than players abandon Antonica 30+ content for Kunark and Velious.
