Miscellaneous: Fire Giant drops

If im not remember wrong dident fire giant warrior and fire giant wizard had a chance to drop Mithril Greaves and Mithril Vambraces in live? i have killing many FGs but havent seen them drop from more then Skarlon.

So wounder if you have forgot to put in a chance for the FGs to drop or just me that remember wrong? or did they implant it later that FGs had a chance to drop Mith stuff?

I believe only the named dropped the Mithril stuff.

All FG's had a very small chance to drop mith arms/legs on live during the classic era. I've brought this to the GM's before.

Never in my time playing live eq did I see non-named FGs drop Mithril. Was pretty amazed when I saw that happening on other emu servers.

I *really* don't think they did classically. Anyone provide evidence either way?

Bump. I never remember hearing about regular FGs dropping Mith Vamb/Greaves.

I know it isn't the most reliable source but:

I was too young and too noob to contribute evidence. However, I will refute alla as evidence.

Alla is updated to current day eq. It cannot be used as proof that something should be in classic. For example, try doing soulfire right off of alla. You will:

Look for Lucan in the wrong freeport zone
Look for Valeron Dushire in the wrong freeport zone
Look for Xicotl in the wrong zone
Look for Brother Hayle in the wrong zone

And probably other crap (not familiar with revamped freeport very much)

And quester beware! this is quite true about any quest involving revamped zones.
