you said that you updated spell files. but those spell files are part of eqchanges.zip.

so what exactly is your problem? What is the Error message??

my suggestion is to extract eqchanges.zip onto your desktop, then COPY & PASTE each file into the proper spot in EQ folder.

This way you are sure that all files get properly copied over the new one.

extracting right into the EQ folder doesn't work sometimes.

another suggestion (to avoid future issues), is MOVE EQ folder out of Program Files. Put it directly on C:\EQ or something.
(Program files have special permisions)

If you have installed EverQuest into C:\Program Files (x86)\, stop now, uninstall it and reinstall it somewhere outside Program Files, for example C:\Games. Technically you can make it work inside Program Files, but you will save many headaches by installing it elsewhere.

Download the latest P99Files zip file (formerly known as eqchanges.zip) from here:

Once you have completed installation you will need to extract the Project 1999 required game file changes. The current distribution is Project 1999 Files (V33).
These files must overwrite any existing files encountered during extraction into your Titanium directory.
Open the file, and drag-drop its contents into your EQ installation directory. If Windows asks you to overwrite/replace, say Yes.

The other steps should be listed in the link above. If you need further help, just post here and we'll do our best to help you out.
