Default Zoning problem

Hi all.

i'm having zoning problem.

it start loading but then nothing happens and programm doesnt respond. have to shut it down via task manager, and then i get error msg at login screen, have to wait for few minutes before i can get in again.

This doesnt happens everytime i zone, maybe like 1 time / 10 and it happens in various zones i tried, Halas/Permafrost/Blackburrow/Queynos hills.

any idea how to fix this ?

I'm using AMD dual core, ATI 4870 card, 4 gb RAM and Windows 7 32 bits.
Avast antivirus (tried turning it off but didnt fix the problem)

Jmich, your troubles might be correlated with world server reboots. When you see a yellow message that reads 'Zone connect: xxxx (zone)' it indicates that traveling to or from that zone will cause the game to freeze up/crash the way you described. On occasion, all of the zones on the server seem to 'reconnect,' leading to everyone crashing upon their first zoning.

I usually mitigate this bug by doing an /exit and relogging when convenient (before I need to zone).

Have you looked into dual core issues or fixes? some operating systems using dual core you need to make some modifications for playing eqemu.
if its crashing due to graphics related issues anyways...
