What the hell? Bet the UFC strip his belt and Aldo/Edgar will be a real belt fight. Still they are gonna lose big $. Over a guy not wanting to show to a press conference...Dana White could of just sent a camera crew to Ireland and let him join the conference that way.

Could be a move to get more money. Fighters don't usually retire that young. Dude is in his prime still. If he is retiring, good for him. Sometimes people get tired of getting punched in the face for a living. Everyone knows Dana White/UFC like to pay fighters peanuts compared to other sports and its not like they have another alternative since UFC bought WEC and Pride. It's good to see someone pegging Dana White for a change.

Its just the UFC playing hardball.

Conor wants to make the big bucks, then he has contractual obligations to obey. This includes promo appearances.

From what I can tell this whole thing is a big blow up because McGregor didn’t want to go to Los Vegas for a promotion…He just retweeted that he is not retiring and that he wants back on the card. Dana White will give him another chance 100%...fight will go on as scheduled I am sure – he isn’t going to find a better fight than a Diaz/McGregor rematch. The first fight was really good and people want to see how McGregor comes back after a loss

Conor wasn't ready to promote. He hasn't had enough time to process the fight video and be able to make points about it. He hit Nate with some good shots, the weight difference, etc. and hasn't formed an opinion on it or a new gimmick.

His old gimmick was I'm the best, and he might be second guessing if he can sell anything else after all that shit talking and the reputation he has build up.

I wouldn't want to go to Vegas just yet either...Its fucking early and I just lost.
